Appliance comes on when unplugged for few hours use once and when you open and close. The display on the front goes dark, the display disappears and won't work again unless unplugged again. The clock display does show up again till unplugged for few hours.

Light inside microwave and clock display both work but no buttons on the door work. Unit is only 2 years old. Would thia be a control board issue?

Hello Sean, thank you for getting in touch. You will need to replace the control board assembly, part number PS12728957, to fix the issue. We hope this helps.
First thing I dir was search YouTube for any related videos and found this one https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=uHj4H9Fdxrc, it was the exact problem my microwave was exhibiting. Once I verified the problem by troubleshooting, I removed the part and verified that the switches were working fine, the door latch assembly showed signs of wear which was the cause of the problem. After receiving the replacement part I installed it, verified that power was restored to the unit and reassembled the microwave, works fine, hope it lasts a long time!
You have to be very careful because the wave guide cover is very brittle. It needs to be bent very gently in order to fit the four ends into each slot. I would highly recommend buying two just in case the first one breaks.
I thought the cover was suppose to come off from the inside of microwave. It is brand new and got bent. So I ordered a new one in case it was not working with a bend in it.
