My brass burners turn black after one use. I clean them and the next time I use it it turns black. We had a GE service man come and he said the flame is good.

Hi Ronnie, thank you for reaching out. According to our research, the issue is most probably with the dual valve, part number PS8754407. This valve controls the flow of gas and oxygen to the surface burner. The blackness of the burners is incomplete combustion due to a lack of oxygen. If that does not help, we would recommend checking the in-jet burner, part number PS1021598. We hope this information helps!

Hi Connie, thank you for contacting us. Yes, a faulty igniter is one of the most common reasons a gas oven fails to turn on or heat up. We would suggest checking the igniter glow bar, part number WB13X25264. You may need to replace it to resolve the issue. We hope this sorts out your problem!
Repair is easy. The keeper ring installation while holding the spring down was tricky. An extra set of hands is helpful in holding and replacing the keeper ring.
