Why does the string shoot out when it is no short goes through a spool on no time

Hi Carl, thank you for reaching out. Based on our understanding, we suggest verifying that the string is wrapped properly. If the issue persists, you may need to replace the spring, part number PS10254180. Its purpose is to hold the spool in place on the trimmer. We hope this solves your problem!
