to make more ice should the ultra ice switch be on or off thank you
For model number 79571313310
PartSelect logo
Hello Richard, thank you for the question. According to our research, you may need to switch on the ultra-ice switch to make more ice. When you select the ultra ice feature, the temperature in your freezer compartment drops and the cold air becomes colder. And when the cold air increases, water can freeze more quickly, which enables the ice maker to ramp up its normal ice production. We hope this information helps!

Icemaker flooded the storage container box for cubes. Then froze solid.
Ordered the Part after looking at the choices shown, once I inspected the unit. I then knew by looks what would fit. THEN (important) went on Utube asking for video instructions. They had it on the computer and it was just too easy. What took the longest was the removable of the frozen food items and the drawers in the Bottom Freezer section.
Perfect product, perfect instructions, perfect job and worked perfectly!

Fridge only 18 months old too!

Handyman wanted $457.00 to do the job! HA.

Original gasket became deformed creating bad seal.
Soak new gasket in hot water in bathtub to soften while removing old gasket. No tools required, it was a little difficult pulling old gasket out but once you get it started part way out it will come out real easy. By the time you get the old gasket out the new gasket will be warm and easy to get started into the groove it pops into. Starting on back (hinged) side is of door, begin pushing new gasket into groove. Work up and down pushing gasket into place working towards the corners and around to the front side of door. Your all done. This is a job I went into a little nervous thinking I might be calling a service man out to fix, but it turned out to be really easy.

The lights wouldn't always come on.
I actually watched a YouTube video for LG refrigerators. The hardest part was taking the wire harness out. Mine was really stuck in there. But got it, put the new switch in and viola it worked. Yay!
