If you notice any signs of leaks, such as dripping fuel or hissing sounds, it may indicate a faulty or worn-out sealing washer. Additionally, you might be experiencing engine performance issues like rough idling or difficulty starting. To replace the sealing washer, ensure that the machine is off and that the engine has cooled down. Remove the air breather cover and the filter itself, following the instructions provided in your user manual to access the carburetor. Depending on your specific equipment model, you may need to detach the springs from the carburetor choke mechanism, disconnect the fuel line and fuel tank, remove the choke lever, and detach the air breather base. Once you have located the carburetor, carefully unthread the main jet from the bottom of the carburetor bowl. Finally, slide off the old sealing washer, ensuring you take note of its positioning for accurate replacement. Please note that this sealing washer is sold individually.

I have a solid understanding of small engines. This pressure washer was used twice in 2013, when purchased. Sat in a garage for a couple of years with gas in tank and carburetor. Owner was moving and after 7 years of moving it around he sold it at a garage sale.
I took it home and took off gas tank and thoroughly cleaned it. Then we nt through the carburetor and let soak in cleaner. Cleaned up the spark plug, tested and has good spark. reinstalled carburetor but would not start. I knew I had gas issues. I ordered a carburetor kit and replace the needle valve and seals. Still would not start. Ordered a new carburetor and spark plug. Installed both. Two pulls and it runs like new. Advice: don't try to clean out old carburetor, just buy a new one and install.
