Additionally, you might be experiencing engine performance issues like rough idling or difficulty starting. To replace the sealing washer, ensure that the machine is off and that the engine has cooled down. Remove the air breather cover and the filter itself, following the instructions provided in your user manual to access the carburetor. Depending on your specific equipment model, you may need to detach the springs from the carburetor choke mechanism, disconnect the fuel line and fuel tank, remove the choke lever, and detach the air breather base. Once you have located the carburetor, carefully unthread the main jet from the bottom of the carburetor bowl. I have a solid understanding of small engines. This pressure washer was used twice in 2013, when purchased. Sat in a garage for a couple of years with gas in tank and carburetor. Owner was moving and after 7 years of moving it around he sold it at a garage sale.
I took it home and took off gas tank and thoroughly cleaned it. Then we nt through the carburetor and let soak in cleaner. Cleaned up the spark plug, tested and has good spark. reinstalled carburetor but would not start. I knew I had gas issues. I ordered a carburetor kit and replace the needle valve and seals. Still would not start. Ordered a new carburetor and spark plug. Installed both. Two pulls and it runs like new. Advice: don't try to clean out old carburetor, just buy a new one and install.

I ordered the parts as there were only three screws and two bolts that needed to come out and then thenew ones go back in. Everything went just as planned...….well except the two bolts that where included by Briggs and Stratton appear to be 1/8-1/4" too short and now both of the threaded holes in the engine are now stripped and the quick easy repair is now a bust and not repairable by me.

This has nothing to do with PartSelect.com as they just shipped the Briggs and Stratton part box.
