My dryer turns on but when you press start it clicks and nothing happens. I unplugged it to reset it and it flashed FO1. I googled issue and it sounded like it could be thermal fuse. I removed the back cover and also found that the drive belt was broken. So have to order that. Do you think it could be thermal fuse?
Hi Lisa, thank you for getting in touch. The F01 error code means that the thermistor, part number PS11746740, has failed. The dryer thinks that the thermistor is open when, in fact, the part has shorted out. The thermistor is designed to read and control the temperatures within the dryer. When this part is faulty, your dryer will no longer work, and you may need to replace this part. The part number for the drive belt is PS11722115. We hope this helps!
My dryer is not heating. I think it's the heating element. Should I go ahead? And order this.

The issue seems to be with the heating element part number PS11741416.Before replacing the heating element, make sure the thermal fuse, part number PS11741460, is not blown. Read moreneedle nose pliers, it was held in place by two screws, once they were removed the fuse came out easily, I checked continuity with a volt meter placing the meter on X1 Ohms and could not get a reading. I replaced with a new one and put it all back together the way I took it apart. Then I plugged it in and it worked first time, I now have warm dry clothes.

Cleaning the lint out of the whole machine took quite a bit of time--it was everywhere. Underneath the lint trap was a collection that ultimately ruined the thermal fuse where it restricted the air flow considerably.
Ascertaining the problem was the most time consuming part.
