How to use diagnostic test.
For model number 11031633611
PartSelect logo
Hello Rashid, Thank you for the question. To enter diagnostic mode, With the washer shut off and all indicator lights off, turn the control dial 1 complete rotation (360 degrees) counterclockwise. All the green status lights blink when you successfully activate the diagnostic mode. If the status lights don’t blink, turn the control dial one complete rotation counter-clockwise to reset the control and then try again, this time turning the knob faster. With the washer in diagnostic mode, follow these steps to display the error code lights: Turn the control dial 1 click clockwise. Press the Start button. Turn the control dial one click clockwise to display the first saved error code. Turn the control dial one click clockwise to display the next error code. The control displays up to 4 error codes. Just the Sensing light flashes if no error code was recorded. Hope this helps!

What does code LF (F8E1) Mean? How to repair?
For model number 11031633611
PartSelect logo
Hi Carlene, thank you for reaching out. The error code F8E1 or LF indicates the long fill time or there is some problem with the water supply going to the washer. We would recommend checking the water inlet line for clogging. If the issue still persists, you may need to replace the water inlet valve, part number PS12348766, to fix the issue. We hope this solves your problem!

My washer keeps throwing a drn code
For model number 11031633611
PartSelect logo
Hi Keith, thank you for reaching out. The DRN error code means your washer is not draining properly. We would recommend cleaning the drain hose if it is clogged. If that is not the case, then you may have a defective drain pump, part number PS11738156. We would recommend replacing the drain pump to fix the issue. We hope this solves your problem!

Scratches in Surface
This product comes in a bottle with a brush like Liquid Paper. It goes on incredibly easy. A second coat might be needed. I wanted to prevent rust from setting in so I covered the scratches and dings. The paint is a little brighter since my washer is 10 years old but it still looks great.

Worn out splines connecting transmission driveshaft to agitator.
DIY'er working on a Maytag Centennial type washing machine should be aware that replacing a a transmission or agitator due to worn out splines is only half a job done well. I originally replaced my transmission due to worn splines, only to discover later that the worn agitator splines caused the new transmission splines to wear out at an accelerated rate. Transmission and Agitator should be replaced together, along with a new Agitator mounting bolt. There are plenty of video's online of how to do this repair so I won't get into that here. Just wanted to drop the above sage advice. Transmissions for these washers aren't cheap.

The main knob insert snapped.
Nothing to it. Just remember to put the insert in the knob, NOT on the selector stem. Line up the flat part of the insert with the flat part of the stem and push the knob in place.

Don NOT ram it on the selector stem. When it's seated, don't push any more. That's all there is to it. It works. If the pointer on the knob indicates the selector is lined up correctly, but it isn't, the problem is the selector, not the knob.
