If this is happening every couple of days, this may just be the normal drip that happens after you have used the dispenser. This usually stops after a few minutes. The water could also be dripping because there is air trapped in the water line that is causing a build up of pressure that is forcing some water to seep through the dispenser opening. You can resolve this by using a cup and filling it with water. You will need to keep the water running for a few minutes to remove the air from the line. If the water inlet valve is malfunctioning, water may drip from the dispenser spout. You will need to test the part with a multi-meter. Using a multi-meter on Rx1 mode, place the probes onto the valve’s terminals. The reading you should receive varies from model to model, refer to your owner’s manual for what the correct reading for the valve. If you receive a reading outside the recommended range, if you receive a reading of infinity, or if your valve is visibly damaged, you will need a replacement water inlet valve. If the water pressure is too high, this can also cause water to drip from the spout. If this is the issue, you will need to adjust the pressure. Also, if there is excess water in the drip tray on your refrigerator door, you will need to empty it as it will overflow and cause water to drip on the floor. I hope this helps.
