Cleaner airflow begins with a filter that can trap dust without blocking air through the dehumidifier. Heavy buildup may reduce efficiency, create odors, and place extra strain on the fan. Inspect the filter regularly and replace it if it is damaged or cannot be cleaned as directed. Match the new filter to the full appliance model because size and mounting tabs may vary. Turn off and unplug the unit before removal, then make sure the replacement slides fully into place without bending.
