Washing machine stopped working. Will not do anything. Which part failed?

Washer control will not wake or operate. Dryer works fine. I changed the washer interface board and the lid latch mechanism. Checked all connections. Could the problem be the main control board? Also, after I installed the new latch, the latch would actuate as soon as the power is turned on
