stopped working.
Took the new part and ran silicone around the opening for the ribbon cable to prevent steam from entering shock I believe causes this unit to constantly fail. Install the part. Then ran another bead of silicone around the touch pad to prevent water from entering. Hope this stops this unit from failing

Dishwasher Stainless Steel Face Panel
Wanted to change our dishwasher to a stainless steel appearance. When the panel was delivered in 1 day I might add it was flawless. I removed the old panel and the new panel attached to the dishwasher perfectly with the screw holes exactly lining up. The most inexpensive way to turn a kitchen into a stainless steel appliance look.

dishwasher stopped working
If your model is the same as this one and it stopped working, 98% chance It's the control panel. Remove inner panel of the door. Unscrew the one screw on the control board box to get access to disconnect ribbon wire. Remove four screws two on each side of back of control panel. Install reverse of removal. Done!

Axle on wheel holding top rack broke
Hardest task was finding model number on my ancient dishwasher. Finally just looked at photos and picked the right one. Ordered part and it was here in 24 hours (How do they do that?!!) and it still cost less than at local appliance shop. Carefully kept old screws so I could use them on new adjuster. Part doesn't come with new screws, so watch what you do when you take old one apart. Needed a star screwdriver which I had from a previous repair when I was trying to replace just axle without buying whole new adjuster. Easy enough to do but need a third hand to hold up rack while attaching adjuster.

broken wheels on middle rack
All I really needed were the 4 wheels, but had to buy the entire assembly with wheels permanently affixed ($70)! It was not compatible with my rack assembly and I had to seriously modify the existing rack and cannibelize the new assembly to make it work. It is no longer adjustable, but at least it rolls without falling down (so far).

Plastic wheel hub on right upper rack broke
Quite easy to disassemble the rack arm then replace with new one. I was concerned the part might not fit my dishwasher because it's fairly old and the series numbers were not quite the same, but it fit perfectly. I am very impressed with how quickly I received the part, too.

dishes not clean
with dishwasher running I would open the door and notice the lower spray arm was not turning. I removed all parts in the tub and clean off all the accumulated gunk (likely combination of food and soap scum - like a white paste) . The accumulator screens where more than 50% clogged with no way to clean the inside. I replaced the accumulator part and the lower spray arm because 2 holes had gunk in them that would not come out. dishes are now getting clean and I am switching to liquid - no more powder as I suspect it caused the build up over time.

The dishwasher got the dishes dirty not clean
My married daughter actually did the repair. I removed the plastic assemblies that held the upper cage and upper spray assembly. She unscrewed the screws that held the filter/impeller assembly in place and replaced the old one with the new one. I finished the job by cleaning the interior of the washer and putting everything back together. The dishes are sparkling clean again!

Latch on soap dispenser door broke
I pulled the AC to the device, took the door apart , unscrewed the mounting to the door, unplugged the wires to it, plugged the wires on the new part, screwed it to the door, and finally put the door back together. Oh yeah, had to plug AC back in.

Roller of upper rack height adjuster broke off
Pried end tabs of track off with fingers, slid upper rack out of dishwasher, removed 5 screws of adjuster assembly from side of upper rack, replaced broken assembly with new assembly and replaced 5 screws, slid upper rack into tracks, replaced end tabs, finished.

Why did I have to buy entire assembly when I only needed one wheel? Original assembly had wheels screwed to assembly, replacement assembly had wheels riveted to assembly. Not appreciated.

Dishes weren't getting clean
Maytag should be ashamed to put such poor plastic material in an otherwise good design. The seals that join the rotary sprayers to the rear wall had hardened and crumbled away. When I discovered that water pressure had been lost at the spray arms, it was a simple fix. Snap off the failed parts, pay Partselect $37 because Maytag wanted to save a dime and snap in the new parts. (Parts that will fail again in another 3 years.)

The "rollers" on the adjuster were broken and it was hard to keep the rack on the track.
I removed the middle rack from the dishwasher being careful to pay attention to how the end stops were located. I put the rack on the kitchen table and with my new parts placed where I could reach them, simply unscrewed the faulty parts and replaced them with the new parts! Couldn't have been easier. I especially appreciated the ease of navigating your web site and locating the parts I needed. I was looking for something entirely different until I read feedback from a previous customer and knew instantly what part I needed!

Control Panel failure
The control panel is pretty simple to replace. Take the inside of the dishwasher off by unscrewing the 11 star type screws. Unplug a couple of wire plug connectors to completely remove the inside of the dishwasher door. Take the three screws out for the plastic control board holder. Unconnect the ribbon cable for the control panel. Becareful, the connector slides on the top to allow the ribbon connector to be disconnect. Unscrew and now remove the control. Reverse the instructions to install the new control panel.
