Why does it blow cold air?

Hi Catherine,
Thank you for your inquiry. There are some parts that you will need to check to see which one is causing the issue. You will need to check the heating element, the hi limit thermostat, the fuse and the control board. I hope this helps. Thank you and have a great day!

My dryer will not start. Door switch has continuity and so does start button. Belt is not broken. Is there a thermal switch on this dryer? Can it be the fuse? I tried the continuity test on the fuse and it looks ok. What else can it be? Thanks for the help.

My GE dryer keeps blowing the 30 AMP fuse located by dryer cord.
For model number GTDP180ED4WW
Hi Paul,
Thank you for your question. If the fuse keeps blowing, the issue could be one of the thermostats not working correctly and you will need to test it with a multimeter. With your multi-meter on the Rx1 setting, test for continuity by touching the probes to each terminal. You should receive a reading of zero or infinity. If your test does not produce either of those readings, you will need to replace the thermostat. I hope this helps. Thank you and have a great day!
