Simple part change was all that was required
Timer switch. The old one was just "worn out". Fortunately the drier was a bit old school with no fancy circuit boards covered in chips so I was able to diagnose it and fix it.

Dryer timer
First part was wrong, return went well , second part was right and the install was painless, Wrong part was probably my error, should have removed old part and given that number, and not through catalogue. Thank-you. The process was very effecient even the return.

The dryer will operate correctly on moisture sensing mode, heats to correct temperature setting. On the other hand, when using the time dry mode, the heating element will not heat up at all. I have check all the thermostats for continuity, they seem to be ok. Could this be a problem with the timer or sensing control board?

Dryer works but on timer mode timer doesn't work is there a way to fix, timer is expensive
For model number 110.65132411
Hello, Thank you for your question. I apologize for the inconvenience, however it seems that the issue typically is the timer itself. I would check the knob and connectors and if all looks good, the timer will need to be replaced. That is part#WPW10186032. We hope this helps.

I have replaced the heating element all the thermostats and I'm still getting cold air instead of hot, could this be a timer issue.
Hi Chasity, Thank you for the question. Yes this could be the timer not sending the signal for the element to start. You can test the timer to see if it is giving out 120V. Hope this helps!

If this part goes out, will it cause the dryer not to dry? Everything else seems to check out, but not sure about timer. Please help. Thank you
For model number 11061202011
Hi Alberto,
Thank you for your question. It could if it does not start the cycle. More times than not the reason your appliance will not heat is because of one of your thermostats, your thermal fuses, heating element, or your door switch. All of these parts can be tested with a multi meter to check though. Including the timer. Good luck with your repair.

My timer works but the knob broke off. If I order this part does it include the knob as well? My knob broke off since it’s plastic attached from the knob to the timer. I've only had this dryer for 3 years. Guess overtime the plastic hardens and breaks.
Hello, thank you for contacting us. This is just the timer switch, the knob is not included. In order for us to locate the correct parts we will require the model number of the dryer. Once you have located the model number please feel free to resubmit the question and we will be happy to help you. Look forward to hearing from you!

Dryer heats and works fine, but will not shut off. The dial never moves from the position in which it was set. Is this a timer issue or something bigger? Thanks in advance for you advise.
For model number 110.75132412
Hi Jami,
Thank you for your question. If your dryer will not shut off, there are some parts that you will need to check to see which one is causing the issue. You will need to check the dryer cycling thermostat, the thermal cut-off kit and the timer. We hope this helps! Good luck with the repair!

I need the terminal letters on this timer to check for continuity
Hello Roger, Thank you for the question. The red wire from timer terminal "A" carries 120Vac from the timer to the heating circuit. This would be the test point for the timer. The heating circuit has to be broken and energized to separate L1 form L2 to determine the origin of the issue in this test also. Hope this helps!

How do you change the timer of this type of dryer
For model number 11071202011
Hello David,
Thank you for your question. Unplug the dryer, then take off the screws of the back control panel where the timer will be located and take a picture of how the original was wired. Simple unhook the wires off and replace the timer and make sure to plug in the wires in the same places the original was wired, refer to your photo, and screw the panel back on once your done. We hope this helps.
