The lamp burns out occasionally
Once I got the replacement bulb, the repair was
easy. I needed to unscrew one side of the lamp assembly and pop the new bul in.
My problem was getting the right light. The local hardware store didn't carry quite the right halogen lamp and the one I bought burned out the wires that hold the light. THis was a costly repair --- about $100. So I was delighted when Part Select had the lamp I needed. They were prompt in sending it out and I was very satisfied.

Can you please verify that the replacement bulb you have for this model, wp53001905, is 35 watts and 130 volts? The one i have now is 20 watts and 120 volts. I need more light and want to be sure that this potentially higher wattage and higher volts bulb is compatible with my model and won't burn out. Thanks.

Does the halogen replacement bulb for my Maytag microwave, part #53001905 come in an led version? The halogen is not bright enough because my recessed lighting casts a shadow over the stove and i need more light. If no led version is there a bulb with higher wattage that can be used safely? Thank you.

I need a replacement bulb and a filter. I think you have the filter although there is not picture of it. However the dimension of the filter is the same as what you have noted. However,. The original catalog states the oven light bulb is a 20 watt appliance bulb. You people are saying a 35 watt. The microwave serial # is 10188106gg. Do you not have the 20 watt bulb? Will the 35 watt be of the same spec so it can plug in?
For model number JMV8208AAS
Hello Richard, Thank you for the question. The 20 Watt bulb has been discontinued by Jenn-Air and replaced with the 35 Watt Bulb, PartSelect Number: PS11742827. This bulb will fit and work on your model number. Thank you for your inquiry, good luck with this repair!
