The dryer starts without no problem. After 15 minutes it stops (as if i shut it off) and even though the timer still shows 30 minutes left (the timer keeps counting down) and i can't restart it. If i unplug it, wait 15 minutes and plug it back in i can start it again and it will run another 15 minutes. I was thinking that i need to replace the control panel. Does that sound right?

Hi Artie,
Thank you for your question. If the dryer is shutting off to soon, the issue may be with the moisture sensor. Newer models of dryers may use a moisture sensor to control the timer from advancing when the automatic drying cycle is selected. The sensor circuit consists of an electronic control in the console and sensors that are typically located on the front bulkhead of the dryer. When sensor dry is selected the wet clothes in the dryer come in direct contact with the sensors and complete an electrical circuit. This circuit causes the control board’s capacitor to discharge and that prevents the timer motor from advancing. When clothes are nearly dry they fail to complete this circuit and the timer begins to run until the end of the cycle. If these sensors are defective or become coated with fabric softener, then the dryer will shut off before the clothes can dry. I hope this helps. Thank you and have a great day!

The cycle selection has become very erratic, often not activating the setting desired or taking many turns of the chrome knob before the correct led illuminates. Possibly a defective board or maybe dirt or corrosion on it's rotary contact points? Can I remove the trim panel to inspect or replace if necessary?

The display on the control board has stopped working. If I push the top of the control panel, it used to come back on, now that does not work. The dryer works other than that.
Can the display be changed without changing the entire control board?
For model number eimgd60jiw3
Hello David, thank you for reaching out. Unfortunately, the display does not come individually and you will need to replace the entire electronic control board, part number PS10057455. If you require assistance to place an order, please contact customer service. We hope that helps!

Dryer was giving me a door open error. I replaced the switch but had same problem. Repairman came out and said he traced problem back to the Control Board and I should buy a new dryer. Can I replace the part? Is it the PS10057455? What is the other Control part that comes up PS9865098?
For model number EIMGD60LSS2

My dry runs for around 3 minutes, then shuts off displaying e64 error. Dryer is spinning, getting hot, air is flowing outside, filter is clean.
For model number EIMED60LT3
Hello Stephen, thank you for getting in touch. According to our research, the error code E64 indicates a problem with the heating system. We would recommend checking the wiring for loose connections and the thermostat for continuity. If the thermostat is fine, then the issue is with the heating element, part number PS2349309. You may need to replace it to fix the issue. We hope this helps!
Hi, my Electrolux dryer setting for Mix Load, the manual says the temperature setting should be "Normal"; however, the dryer shows the temperature set as "Air Dry" and does not allow me change to any other temperature setting.
