Dryer won’t turn on, tested start switch it’s working
For model number MTX22EBMK0WW
Hello Alicia, Thank you for writing. Not sure which switch you tested but it could be one of two switches that may be the issue. The Push to Start Switch PartSelect Number PS9864475 and the Door Switch PartSelect Number PS12722948. We hope this helps.
Hello Amanda, Thank you for your inquiry. Dryer starts using the start switch , but once switch released dryer stops, Schematic show a idler switch, but unable to locate any such part, is this internal to the motor?
For model number MTX22EBMK0WW
Hello Larry, thank you for your inquiry. Based on our research, the idler switch is located next to the drive motor and is used to allow the motor to continue to idle while disengaged from the drive unit. We believe your dryer is having this problem because the push-to-start switch, part number PS3487190, is faulty and needs to be replaced. We hope replacing this solves your problem!
My dryer has quit working. Worked normally yesterday, today I could only get it to work using the timer on the bottom part of dial. Usually use dial and set to more dry/less dry, but would not work. Now I set it to the timer and it would kick in for 10 seconds or so and then cut out. Now will not work at all. I’m thinking I need new timer?
