Display not lit interior lights not working fridge is running
For model number KRMF606ESS00
Hello Al, thank you for your question. This would be an issue with one of the electronic boards. There are multiple in this unit but the first ones we would recommend testing are the two on the back which are Part #: PS11756815 and Part #: PS11737802.

Evaporator icing up. I would appreciate if you could tell me how and what operates the defrost cycle?
For model number KRMF606ESS00
Hello Surjit, Thank you for the question. We suggest testing the Defrost Heater. Remove it from the appliance. It should be reading anywhere between 0 - 50 ohms to be working. If the Heater Element is good, the Control Board PartSelect Number PS11757074 would be the board that controls the Defrost Cycle. We hope this helps!
Massive ice buildup on freezer evaporator and fan, completely thawed and cleaned it 2 months ago, but it has returned?
For model number KRMF606ESS00
Hello Dave, thank you for the question. According to our research, we would recommend checking the gasket that it is not damaged from anywhere. You may need to check the defrost heater, part number PS11738607, to resolve the issue. We hope this helps!
Freezer and ice maker keep stopping, I keep having to unplug it and then it works for a few weeks (freezer only), I’ve maker no. Could this be a starter on the compressor?
For model number KRMF606ESS00
Hi Adriano, thank you for the great question. Based on the description, the issue is with the control board, part number PS11756815. The control board activates components such as the compressor and fans to keep the refrigerator cool. We would recommend checking the control board to fix the issue. Good luck with your repair!
I used a flat-head screwdriver to pop out the old light rocker switch. Then, I unplugged the wires, plugged them into the new light rocker switch, and then popped the new switch into the hole. That's it! Lights began working again.
Purchased new motor from Partselect.com. When it arrived it came with a new rubber washer that fitted on top of new motor that was not on old motor, that how water got into old motor. However, the instruction sheet did not give info on how to access the proper way to the motor that is the door. Not wanting to damage the freezer door assy. called in a tech who made it look easy, but even he had a little problem locating access panel that was directly under the motor in the freezer side of the door. After that it was a piece of cake.
I used a flat screwdriver and released the lock tab on the bottom of the light switch, and pried the switch out, being careful to not damage the plastic around the mounting place of the switch, unplugged wiring from old switch, plugged in the new one and pushed the new switch into place. Job finished light switch now working.
