Took knobs off to clean. They will slide back on, but don’t stay on. Very loose.

Hello Judy, thank you for your question. There might be a small D clip on the inside of the knobs that remained on the knob shafts, or were lost. If the clips are not currently on the shafts to be removed and replaced into the hole in the back of the knob, the knobs would have to be replaced as the clips are not available separately. I hope this helps.

My oven is 16 years old and other than one burner not working, it's in pretty good shape. I wanted to find out if the non-working burner was repairable. It is the right front (single) burner.

Hello Jill, thank you for your query. We would recommend replacing the infinite switch, part number PS11747406, to fix the issue. It turns the surface element on and off and controls how much heat the element produces. We hope this sorts out your problem!
When I preheat my oven, it takes so long to reach the temperature and when it does and I want to make the temperature higher, it doesn't seem to work. It says preheating but does not go higher. I have tried to shut down and start over and then it takes forever or sometimes not at all to reach the temperature.

Hi Chris, thank you for contacting us. We believe your Range is having this problem due to a faulty temperature sensor, part number PS11748765, which may need to be replaced. We hope this helps, good luck with the repair!
Something Kitchen Aid wont tell you but running a self clean on this model stove blows the fuse located on the back of the stove.
First I slid the stove out and removed the back of the stove held in place by 8 Phillips screws. The thermostat fuse is located near the top middle on the back of the stove. Remove the 2 screws holding it in place. Disconnect the wires, plug in the new part. Put it all back together. Job done in less than 30 minutes.
This repair would have cost $164 through A&E factory service.
