The range just started tripping the circuit breaker, even with no burners turned on. Is there a common problem that might cause this? I'm an electronics engineer, but I haven't paid attention to appliances.
For model number 2118L30
Hello Garth, thank you for contacting us. Based on the description that you have provided, we would recommend that you check if the outlet is working okay. A damaged power outlet can cause a short, resulting in breaker tripping. You may also need to check your appliance wiring for any damages or burned connections resulting in a short. A faulty or damaged surface element switch can also result in a tripping circuit breaker. In which case you may need to replace the surface element switch, part number PS12070192. We hope this helps.
