Door Gasket - White

I looked at the gasket for the door, and noticed that it was flattened out and also noticed that there were two other seals at the lower left and right corners that were also hard and flattened. I found the parts for my dishwasher on this site and ordered them. Once I received them, I removed the old ones. They just came right out, and I inserted the new ones in the same spot. It was then that I noticed that there is another gasket for the door, that goes at the bottom of the inside of the door. The gasket for the door goes all the way around the outside, except for about a 4 inch section at the bottom of the door, right in the middle. I realized that I probably needed to get a new one of those too, so I ordered that part. I am now waiting on that small, 4 inch door gasket.

Since i was not sure which gasket has failed, i replaced all 4 considering the age of the dishwasher,( 2 are corner baffles ). The only time i was scratching my head was installing the gasket insert. No one mentioned to overlap or not, so i did overlap and crossed my fingers. After several cycles there is no dripping so i guess overlapping about a 1/2 inch is the way to do it. And i would suggest cleaning the gasket groove in the bottom corners really good. Good luck, bill

The lower right and left tub baffles just slip in, no tools required. For the front door gasket; a) removed the backside of the front door by removing the door screws. You need to manipulate the front door latch to remove the panel. b) remove the existing gasket, replace with new gasket. The short 4" gasket was missing, which is why it was leaking in the first place. Replaced it with the new one. Reassembled and tested. Leaking at bottom of door edge - ordered new gaskets all around - no sense in replacing one at a time and paying extra shipping. Removed screws on the inside of the door panel and it lifted off easily. bottom corner of gasket was black and that is where some of the leaking was from. I replaced the door seal and ran the washer and it still leaked.... Pulled the washer out from the enclosure and it was quite wet back there - so I wanted to pull the washer to dry and clean things up - turned off power and water and remove screws at top edge that secure it to countertop. Insulation wrap was wet - Removed that and put it into the sun to dry - no sign of where water was leaking - reconnected water and power and ran a cycle with the washer pulled out - slowly leaking from top of washer where hose enters the top sprayer. Was easy to get to the sprayer - two little screws hold it in - removed the hose that feeds the sprayer and it was disintegrating - crumbly- I ordered the part and put it all back together and used a washer at the sprayer/hose junction to compress the fitting in hopes it would hold until the replacement came - it did. The replacement installed in 10 mins and did not need to disconect water or power. I would suggest replacing this hose at the same time you replace door seals based on condition of my hose.

Removed door panel. Removed old door seal and cleaned seal recess. Installed new seal. Replaced door panel on door and ran a cycle to check for leaks. Readjusted door latch to correct small leak. Ran another leak test. Job complete and wife is happy!

Plumber had suggested trying a new gasket rather than replace the dishwasher. Ordered one and installed it. Cleaned door and installed gasket in about 30 minutes. So far it works great .... and ... cheaper than new dishwasher.

I had a slow drip under the dish washer that originated from the solenoid shaft. The replacement o ring fixed it up. While I had it pulled out I replaced all the door seals and top rack rollers.

I ordered the parts on a Thursday evening and received them on Friday. WOW now that's fast! The parts came from Illinois and I live in Indiana so that might have helped but I was very surprised and glad for the quick service. I would defiantly order from Parts Select again. Thank you!

Removed seven screws that held the inside panel to door. removed inside panel to work area and cleaned. After carefully observing the position of the old gasket, it was easily removed and the new one but in its place. Replaced the door being careful toalign the handle before tightly securing all seven screws. Repair worked, no more leak.

The replacement of door rubber seal was easy as well as the corner boot tub baffles. I did take the door off to make cleaning and installing seal easy. I wish your web site would recommend if replacing certain parts, additional
parts should be replaced at the same time. For my project I should have
replaced the 3 inch separate seal located inside bottom of door. You can't
see it until removal of the door. I am thankful for the easy to follow
instructions other people wrote and it made the job much less stressful..

First I must say that several appliance service companies told me it would be cheaper to buy new versus repair. Average quote was for $100 as a service call to check it out. I removed the front door coverge and determined it was the controller. Cheched with an Ohmeter ($9.00 unit) for shorts and found none. The new controller was installed together with the other parts and I now have a unit like new that would have cost $1,400.00 to replace. The schematics and parts diagram were invaluable. You also saved about $50.00 over the GE website. Thanks.
