Inlet Valve
Part delivered quickly! Part installed very easily. Afterwards, dish washer did not function properly at first. Cycle seemed to be stuck on pumping out and would not move on. Poured in a container of water which immediately was pumped out and cycle moved on. Dishwasher has worked excellently since then! NO more water on floor since repair. In my opinion, this was a fantastic replacement part. Thanks, Murray

Water was leaking into the dishwasher when it was not running and leaking onto the floor
Disconnected the water and power, pulled dishwasher out from under the counter, unscrewed the old inlet valve, disconnected hose from exit of inlet valve, noted the placement of the wires and disconnected them. Installed new inlet valve in reverse order and reinstalled dishwasher.

Our dishwasher fills with water after the cycle is over, and continues to fill with water while it is off. I either have to turn off the water valve to the dishwasher, or run a drain cycle every 24 hours, or water will run onto the floor. Your help would be much appreciated.
For model number SHU53E02UC14
Hi David,
Thank you for your question. If the dishwasher is filling with water when it is not in use, then a component in the water inlet valve has failed and you will need to replace it. I hope this helps. Thank you and have a great day!

The dishwasher will finish its cycle and there will be no water in the bottom of the dishwasher. However, over the course of a few hours, the tub fills and eventually, we have had leaks from the amount in the tub. I heard this might be the water inlet valve.
For model number Bosch SHX99A15UC / 19
Hello Doug, thank you for your question. Yes, this would be a water valve issue. The water valve is sticking open and allowing water to enter the tub after the cycle is finished. We would recommend replacing the valve PartSelect Number PS8713989. Good luck with your repair.

Our diswasher will not fill with water. You can hear it cycle but there is no water in the tub. I followed the trouble shooting here on your website and replaced the inlet valve. It did not change anything. What do i do? Is there a way to test the pump?
For model number SHE56C06UC / 22
Hello Monika and thanks for writing.
Have you checked the waterlines that attach to your unit for possible kinks and or debris? In rare cases, the house water pressure is just not enough to operate the units. We hope this helps. Please contact us anytime.

Couple issues with our dishwasher. 1. Recently when you start a new cycle the display starts at 13 (normally 98) and runs longer than normal so we have to turn off manually. 2. Water accumulates on the bottom of dishwasher after previous cycle runs and completely drains; we’ve actually found water on the floor in kitchen dripping from unit. Just a couple days ago I turned off the supply line inlet from the house and no more water accumulating on dishwasher bottom so am thinking it might be the dishwasher water supply valve. Any ideas?
For model number SHU5315UC/11
Hi John,
Thank you for your question. If the dishwasher is running longer than normal, the water supply to your dishwasher is not hot enough. According to your manual it should be 140 degrees F. Let the hot water run in the kitchen sink for a few minutes until the the water is nice and hot. Once it is hot, turn your dishwater on. If it is still not hot enough, adjust the water supply according to local codes. If your dishwasher was leaking, the issue is likely the water inlet valve. A component in the valve may have failed and it will need to be replaced. You will need to test the valve with a multimeter. Here is a link to one of our videos on YouTube that you may reference on how to use one, https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=bWC44fHn0As. I hope this helps. Thank you and have a great day!
