After a full cycle the washer would not drain the water
After reading the possiblilities of problem, I determined that the drain pump was not working; therefore I ordered a new one. When I opened the washer to replace the part, I found out that the pump was working but the filter was stuffed with pieces of rubber that came out from a rug I washed. Once all the stuff was removed, the washer worked just fine. PartSelect was very gracious to accept the returned with not questions asked!! Thanks partSelect.

pump very noisy, failing.
Disconnect water and electricity.
Shop-vac out the water in the internal drain hose.
Remove back cover, tip washer on side to gain access.
Un-clamp rubber drain hose, unscrew pump and remove.
Cleanout filter cup (yuk!) find coins and hairpins.
Attach drain hose to new pump and re-install with hose clamps from hardware store because spring clamps were impossible (arthritis in fingers).
Reconnect water and electricity.
Test for leaks and tighten clamps if necessary.

The washer would not drain
After removing the front of the washer, I used slip joint pliers for the hose clamps, then a screwdriver for the mount bolts and replaced the pump motor in reverse order. The pump was ordered on line on a Friday before 10am and was delivered on saturday moring by FedEx. I could not have expected such fast and efficent service!

Water not draining
It turned out that the pump was fine. There is a filter within the rubber bellows between the washer drum and the motor. You need to remove the entire bellows to get to it. Just remove the motor and you can un-clip the hose tensioners. They are exactly like the ones you would fine on most foreign cars - just compress with pliers and move back on the hose. Clean out the plastic filter. A small nail had worked its way through the plastic filter and lodged in the motor impeller. Removing this nail and reassembling, it all worked as new! I kept the pump and motor as a future spare rather than return it.

water pump broke
My Husband did the repair it took less than 15 minutes. He popped the front off the washer. He then unscrewed two screws and removed the pump assembly. He popped the new pump in, and put in the tow screws. Then he put the washer front back on replacing two screws. It took all of five minutes. I am so pleased it was so easy. I told him next time I'd do the repair and he could watch!

Machine would not spin.
Once I figured out that it would not spin because it did not drain. Unplug machine and remove the back pannel. Locate the drain pump on the bottom of machine. Remove the power wires and the screws holding it to the bottom. Then use a pliers to remove the hose clamps ( was easer for me to tip the machine forward ). Be prepaired to catch or soak up extra water from lines. The hardest part to the install is the limited room you have to work with. Install screws to hold the pump in place then install water lines, power wires and back pannel. Only thing left is to plug it in and watch for leaks.

Water Flooded Floor
First I took sides off the washer. I then took screws out of the Drain pump holder. Unclamped the two pipes from it. Undid the wires to then drain pump. Screw in the new pump hardware. Plugged in the wires on side of the pump. Reclamped the pipes. Put sides back on washer and it worked. That easy and took less then 30 minutes. I am no handy man so thats how easty it was.

The washing machine is re-filling with dirty water slowly after spinning. The solenoid valve was replaced but didn't fix issue. If spin cycle w/no spin, only drain is used afterwards all the water remains ejected and doesn't return. Does this mean an issue in pump or can we simply replace the red flapper/check valve? Thank you
For model number LTF6700FS0
PartSelect logo
Hi Rachel, Thank you for the question. The red flapper is more then likely the issue but is not sold separate from the pump so the pump will need to be replaced. Good luck with the repair!

The washer is not draining completely. When we go to start it back up again the door locks, the lights come on, but then the lights will go out a few seconds later, and the machine switches off. Unable to drain the water, and i am unable to use the system at all. Any ideas?
For model number ATF6700FE2
PartSelect logo
Hi Andrew, Thank you for your question. There are a few parts that you should check. First check your drain tubes and pump filter to make sure there are no obstructions. Secondly, you should check your door lock to make sure it is working correctly. It also may be your drain pump that is giving you the issue as well, so it would be good to check that part. I hope that helps. Good luck with your repair.

The washer makes it through all cycles except the last or final spin cycle at the 12 minute mark starts briefly and about the 6 minute mark just stops and shuts off clothes are still very wet. What would be the issue?
For model number ATF7000FS0
PartSelect logo
Hi Tim, Thank you for your question. If the timer is not advancing beyond the final spin cycle, you will need to check the timer, the door lock and switch assembly and the shock absorber kit. I hope this helps. Thank you and have a great day!

I am trying to attach a new pump to a front-loading washer and had no problem removing the damaged one but can't manage to attach the new one because no room to get my hands in to turn screws. Is there any way to remove the front panel on this machine?

Hi Cecilia, Thank you for your inquiry. You should have had to remove your front panel to get to the part. If you take a look at this part information you will see an installation video that will show you how to remove the front panel to get to the part. Good luck with your repair.

When I tried to start my washer, it sounds as if it is starting but the drain pump started and then it stops. It makes a terrible sound. The whole unit still hums. I was not sure if this was a pump problem or if the door lock was not locking. Any ideas?
For model number GLTF2940ES3
PartSelect logo
Hello Ed, Thanks for your question. You may want to check the impeller to see if anything managed to get clogged inside. If not, try testing the drain pump and the door switch with a multimeter to see if they have continuity. Replace either of them if they are not showing continuity. I hope this helps.

I push the start button the pump starts after a few seconds the washer shuts down.
For model number 41744052400
PartSelect logo
Hi Howard, Thank you for your inquiry. There are a couple of parts that could cause that issue but I think that the part you will want to check first is the door lock switch. Sometimes when your machine will pump water but will not continue into the cycle, the lock had failed and the machine thinks that the door is open. I hope this helps. Good luck with your repair.

Machine would wash but after some time it would stop during the cycle and then after some time you would hear a click sound and then the cycle starts again. This will continue for the entire washing and it makes washing longer than it should be. What could possibly be the problem?
For model number FEX831CS0

Hello Allistair, Thank you for the question. This sounds like the Timer Switch, PartSelect Number PS418697 is not processing through the cycles properly and will need to be replaced. Thank you for your inquiry, good luck with this repair!

Clicking sound when turning the cycle tuner and the water won't drain. What part would i need?
For model number FWS777GHS0
PartSelect logo
Hi Akil, Thank you for your inquiry. If you are selecting a cycle and the timer is clicking you need to check the timer. If the washer is not draining there are some parts that you will need to check to see which one is causing the issue. You will need to check the drain pump, the drive belt, the drain hose and the lid strike. I hope this helps. Thank you and have a great day!

I have water spraying out under washer, and when it starts to wash it's making a load squeaking noise
For model number FAHE1011mwo
PartSelect logo
Hello Gary, thank you for your question. Open the access panel to see if a hose has come loose or if the water is coming from the drain pump or sump. With the loud noise you're having it is most likely the drain pump that has failed and will have to be replaced. I hope this helps!
