Timer knob spins freely, does not engage.
You would think the timer was bad but it wasn't. The timer mount engineered is not sufficient and mounts brake so timer gets pushed off of broken mounts, then timer does not catch. Pathetic. Mount a U type bracket on back of metal back plate which acts as a stop for the timer. Use duct tape timer to keep timer from sliding down.

I was trying to replace the timer knob and i noticed that there is a black part that has teeth that is too worn to engage the timer knob. What is the part that i am looking for?
For model number GLWN2800D1WS
Hi Russell, thank you for your question. That would be part of your timer itself. You would have to replace your timer to replace that part. I have linked that down below for you. Good luck with your repair.
