Hello Gail, Thank you for contacting. This type of screw is known as a pan head Phillips screw or combination screw 10-16 x .75. Usually a Philips or Robertson screwdriver can be used to remove it. We hope this helps.

Tryed to remove hinge screws and stripped them. I used a grabit extractor to remove the screws and now this will not work. Do you have any ideas on what to do next.

Stripped the hinge screws while trying to remove them. I used a grabit bit to remove them with no luck do you have any suggestions on what to do next.
For model number Atf6000fs1
Hi Tony,
Thank you for your question. To remove a stripped screw it depends on whether or not it is the head that is stripped or if the threads are stripped. If the head is stripped, you will need to use a rotary tool to grind a slot for a screwdriver. If it is the threads that are stripped, use a pair of end cutters and insert it under the head and then use a screwdriver to turn the screw. I hope this helps. Thank you and have a great day!
