I am getting an error code e next to where it says refrigerator & rf next to freezer. I called someone out he took it apart & steamed all the ice from from the back of the wall where the crispers are (mostly left side) took back panel off & did the same with the pan that is suppose to drain the water. Once that was done i could see the fan motor turning but the code was back by the next morning. What do you suggest & how would i check the things you suggested to another person with this problem. Thanks for your help

Hello Kim, Thank you for your inquiry. This error code indicates an abnormality in the refrigerator's fan motor. We would recommend checking the following parts to fix your issue: Evaporator fan motor, condenser fan motor, Power control board, Wiring harness. You can test the parts with a multimeter. If you are unfamiliar with how a multimeter functions, there are YouTube videos available to assist you. Hope this helps!

Hello Craig, thank you for your question. Controller Assembly part PS11732655 is the Temperature Sensor for inside the freezer, and Controller Assembly part PS3599308 is the Defrost Sensor Assembly for monitoring the temperature of the evaporator coil to prevent it from overheating. We hope this answers your question.

So, the refrigerator was registering close to 50, it was set to 34. Freezer is also warmer than setting of -2 below, reading at about 24. Replaced the evaporator fan, but I think it may be the board. Or maybe the temperature sensor, but that would mean both refrigerator and freezer sensors are bad (unlikely?). We had the compressor replaced last year (warranty repair) went bad right at 5 year mark. Compressor fan good and compressor is not making any noise, also frosting up the coils nicely. Please help. Hello David, Thank you for the question. If the compressor is kicking on and off as normal but the appliance is not cooling and you have a frost build up, you may have an issue with the defrost cycle. We suggest testing the Defrost Sensor. You can let the sensor warm up to room temperature. With the sensor warmed up to room temperature the sensor should read approximately 6.2K Ohms at 68°F. With the thermistor submerged is a glass full of ice water, the sensor should be very close to 32°F which should read approximately 16.3K Ohms. If the values that you are getting are far off from these readings, then the sensor is bad and should be replaced. We hope this helps!
I replaced this same part#6615jb2005r last oct and it seems it has failed. The same condition , refrigerator evaporator iced up to a big block of ice, happened again just the other day. Is it safe to assume the part failed or is there something else causing the problem to recur just over a year from the last part replacement. Appreciate any help you can offer.

Hi Don,
Thank you for your inquiry. If there is ice building up in your refrigerator, check first for a break in the door gasket that could be letting in warm, moist air. If the gasket is fine, there are some parts that you will need to check to see which one is causing the issue. You will need to check the defrost sensor, the defrost heater, the electronic control board and the defrost timer. Thank you and have a great day!
