Broken latch on dishwasher prevented operation
Photograph or diagram how the wires connect to the switches before taking out the old assembly. I could have salvaged switches from the old assembly by pulling out the white pins (and avoided buying the new switch kit). There's only one way the pieces go back together, so the wire connections are the only point that required special care and attention.
I disasembled the inner door and replaced the door switches with new ones.

it would turn off and on mid-cycle and finally quit completely
I turned off the circuit. I removed the interior side of the door and then the plastic covering over the electrical wires and switches (I counterbalanced the door with a couple of half gallon juice containers). I removed the wires attached to the switch on the door handle and the door handle itself. The handle and switch parts disassembled and I replaced the switches (part of kit). I cut off the singed wire and the other three beyond the damaged portion and stripped the wires and connected the extensions (part of kit). I attached the new wires to the switches and closed up the interior door. Lastly, I turned the circuit breaker back on. All was well!

Before i order and try to fix my issue, i would like some help in diagnostics. When i close my door, i hear the door click. When i press the normal button the light comes on, however, the start button will not activate the washer. The only buttons that work, are the normal, and pots and pans buttons. They light for a bit and then the light eventually goes off. The cancel/drain button works, and activates the drain. The washer just won't start. Any advice will be appreciated!

The door will not open, latch will not release. Will this part correct problem?

Hello Carolyn, Thank you for the question. Switches just let the control panel know when the door is closed and it is ok to operate. I suggest checking the latch Part Number: PS11741365, Handle Part Number: PS11747089, Handle Spring Part Number: PS11747082 and the Handle Link Part Number: PS402364. Make sure they are in place and not damaged. Hope this helps, good luck with this repair!
Dishwasher just stopped in the middle of cycle. Have had no prior issues . Panel does not turn anything on ( it was not made with a light on it ) . Button panel as been changed as i had a new white one . Checked power in -good. Water in - good. Door latches with solid click , no wear or crack visible, but do not know how to check this. Thank you for your question. There are a few parts that you will probably want to check. I would suggest checking your door switch, even it if it latching the electrical switches might not be working. You might also want to check your fuse, and your high limit thermostat. All of those parts can be testing with a multi meter to be sure they are working correctly. I hope that helps. Good luck with your repair.

The dishwasher door handle won't latch close, i ordered the door latch bolt and lever and reinstalled it but the door still doesn't latch close. Can you help me?

Hello Martha, thank you for your question. If the latch and handle were replaced but the unit won't latch we would recommend checking the strike that is on the top center of the tub. It may be bent or twisted and not allowing the latch to connect. I hope this helps!

Thank you for the question. If everything is working as normal and it is just the light then it should like the light is burnt out. The light is part of the Control Panel so it would need to be replaced.

I have just replaced the fuse and harness but the machine won't work (confirmed that the replaced fuse is busted using continuity tester) . I have checked the door switch and there is power going thru the fuse (used voltage detector). There is clicking sound when i close the door but there is no light in the panel. Please help. Not sure if this kit deals with our problem. The selected wash, rinse, & dry buttons light up as usual and "washing" status lights up, but we hear no noise and no water runs. The dishwasher worked fine yesterday.

Hello Bill, thank you for contacting us. The door switch kit would be a good place to start. If the switches send bad signals to the board it will think the door is open and will not start, but everything lights up as if it should work. Hope this helps!

We looked up the part and it is listed as No Longer Available/Discontinued sorry. There are no part substitutions listed. Our suggestion here would be to call the manufacturer and see if they can provide you with a substitution for these part numbers and contact us back with he updated substitution number.
