washer tub shakes violently during spin cycle.
turn washer on it's side. dampers are visible from underneath. use needle nose pliers to "pinch" end of retaining pin and pull pin out. it will take some force to remove. i would recommend replacing all 3 as i had one that had a mounting tab broken off. i then realized the other dampers were bad. there should be resistance in the up and down motion. if not replace.

Is there a way to function test the shock absorbers? In other words, how do we know they are bad?

Hello Jesse, thank you for your question. Once the shock is removed you can check to see if they are bad by pulling the two parts of the shock apart. If its easy to pull the part needs to be replaced. If its very hard to pull apart they are fine. I hope this helps!

Could blown shocks prevent this machine from running the high spin cycle with heavier loads due to, too much movement?

Hi Kyle, thank you for your question. It could be effecting your rotor sensor and thus effecting the spin. However usually when you are having spinning issues you would want to look at your rotor sensor, lid latch, and your rotor itself. Good luck with your repair.
