This gas range oven igniter is compatible with various models of LG gas ranges. It is made up of the igniter element, wire harness, connector and mounting bracket. The igniter is responsible for generating the heat needed to ignite the gas and create a flame for you to cook your food. You can find the igniter located near the oven burner. If your igniter is faulty, you will likely notice that it does not glow, or it glows dimly, the flame is weak, or there is no ignition at all. If the igniter is cracked or visibly damaged in any way it is best to replace it to ensure your safety.

Oven wouldn't ignite
Took off the oven door then took out the racks and two screws in the oven bottom and removed it . Then removed the heat deflector. Then un plugged the old igniter and removed the burner to make it easier to remove the old igniter. Then installed the new igniter and reversed the process

Oven would not light
As soon as my husband put it in the oven, the very thin prongs broke. There was no guard on either side of the prongs for protection like the one that had been in there. Very costly to us of $185 with no fix. Very disappointed in that ignitor. It would have been an easy fix. Had replaced one previously but it only lasted 6 months. Now we have a new stove

The oven doesnt fire up and get any heat. After a couple minutes i get an f9 code. Stove burners work fine. I took out the bottom of the oven and the heat shield. I closed the door and tried to fire it up. No glowing on the igniter.
For model number LRG3061ST
Hello Brad, thank you for your question. We would recommend testing the igniters and the oven temperature sensor first. If those parts are not faulty you should check the gas and safety valves. I hope this helps!

When i turn on the oven i get a glow from the bottom of the oven but sometimes does not ignite. I am wondering if the ignitor is getting week of it the temperature sensor is intermittent. When it fires up it takes a long time to do so at least 5 min.
For model number lrg3095st
Hi Kevin, thank you for your question. There are a few parts that could cause this issue in your appliance. First I would say test your igniters with a multi meter to see if they are working correctly or not. They should be reading between 0 - 1100 ohms to be working correctly. The other part you should check would be your oven temperature sensor. That can also be tested with a multi meter and should be reading between 1000 - 1100 ohms. If those three parts are fine however, then the issue may be in your control board or the spark module. I hope that helps. Good luck with your repair.

Our oven works normally most of the time, but occasionally decides to stop heating after it heats to desired temp. I've replace the temp sensor, but it still does this intermittently... my wife turns on all the stove burners, opens and bangs the oven door, and it seems to start heating again. this doesn't happen very often...
we had some work done on the gas line leading into the house, and i'm wondering if there is some debris in the line that is clogging up the valve on the oven.
any advice?
For model number LRG3081ST
Hello Tom, thank you for your question. If the sensor has been replaced but the oven isn't heating as it should we would recommend testing the oven igniter and the oven gas valve first. If those parts are tested and are working properly you may have an issue with the electronic control board. I hope this helps!

To follow up on the last question where you recommended looking at the igniter: The oven ignites reliably, the problem is cutting out occasionally while maintaining the temp. My wife thinks it is contamination in the gas line, so she fiddles with the range burners and bangs the door, and it seems to work for her. It only happens occasionally, so it seems to me that we may have something blocking the gas line every once in a while. Is there a way to test or clean whatever might be the problem? Thanks.

Hi Tom,
Thank you for your question. It is normal for a gas oven once it reaches the desired temperature, to turn off after the oven has reached its desired temperature before shutting off while maintaining a consistent temperature. If it is cycling on and off too quickly the issue is usually a weak igniter. If your wife is the banging the door the issue could be the door switch depending on the model of your stove and it may need to be replaced. I hope this helps. Thank you and have a great day!

Oven heats up to Temperature (350 degrees) then the temperature drops to like 165. The oven doesn't stay at the temperature you want it to be. What part do I fix the Temperature Sensor or Oven Igniter.
Thank You
For model number LRG3091ST
Hello Barbara, thank you for contacting us. We would recommend testing the temperature sensor and the igniter for continuity using a multimeter to pinpoint the faulty part. According to our data, the temperature sensor, part number PS11732697, is the most likely culprit followed by the igniter, part number PS3535362. Please reach out to customer service if you need help placing an order, anyone will be happy to assist you. We hope that helps.
my Owner's manual for my gas range lists two model numbers. how do I tell which one is mine? I see no matching label on the range.
I need an ignitor for the oven. your site lists a different part number for each model number. how can I tell which one to get?

The temperature shown on the range in as much as 147 degrees different from the actual temperature in the oven. When oven is first turned on the temp deviates substantially from the temp shown on the range.
For model number lrg3081
Hi Chuck,
Thank you for your question. If the oven is not heating correctly, then the issue is likely with the oven sensor, sometimes called the oven thermostat, and you will need to check it with a multi-meter. When testing the sensor with a multi-meter, the sensor should be tested at room temperature and it should be unplugged from the oven. You will need to measure the resistance between the two prongs at the end of the sensor connector. Replace the oven sensor if the reading is less than 900 Ohms or more than 1200 Ohms. If this checks out fine, you will need to check the electronic control board, both oven elements and the wiring between these parts to see which once is causing the issue. We hope this helps. Thank you and have a great day.
