Very bad noise which stopped when the door was opened
The Refrigerator now runs very quite.
After watching several videos I started on mine and found that it was a bit different than any in the videos. However all but the back panel was shown and that was helpful.
The back panel was a bit difficult but a hair dryer seemed to help .
All in all it was a good choice to do it myself as it was done quicker than waiting on a repair man.

This refrigerator is making noise, is replacing evaporator motor a good idea when replacing the fan? Are there any other parts that should be changed at the same time?
For model number LFX25980
Hi Tamara,
Thank you for your inquiry. If it is just the fan blade that is causing the issue then I would just replace the blade and not the motor. To verify if there are any extra parts you need you will need to verify where the noise is coming from and then narrow down what the part is. I hope this helps. Thank you and have a great day!

My refrigerator is an LG unit in use since 2007. I am hearing a loud whining sound that generally lasts between 2 and 10 seconds. It generally occurs in the early morning when the refrigerator doors have not been opened for several hours. The sound appears to be coming from the freezer area and stops when i open the freezer door. I pulled the unit away from the wall, cleaned and listened to the condenser fan motor, which appears to be functioning normally. I suspect that the problem is the evaporator fan motor. Do you agree and do you have this part in stock? Thank you!
For model number LFC21760ST
Hello Jeff, thank you for your question. It definitely, sounds like it could be the evaporator fan motor that sits behind the back wall in the freezer. I would recommend removing the panel and inspecting the part to be sure there is no ice buildup around the evaporator coils which would indicate further issues. If the fan motor is making noise and there is no other ice buildup and the unit is working normally, we would recommend replacing the motor part number 4681JB1027H. I hope this helps!

I get 'er' code and 'ff' and wont dispense ice or water
For model number LFX2599 1ST
Hi Howard, thank you for your question. There are two parts that you should check for this issue. The first part to test would be your water inlet valve. The valve has two solenoids that control either the dispenser or the ice maker. Even if your dispenser is working the ice maker solenoid may not be and vise versa. The valve can be tested with a multi meter and should be reading between 500 - 1500 ohms of resistance. If that part is testing correctly then you should look into your ice maker being the issue. I hope that helps. Good luck with your repair.

This refrigerator is about 2 years old. It seems to maintain temperatures properly and everything seems to work well, but i think it is noisy when it runs. It sounds like a rumble. Any suggestions?
For model number LMXC23796D
Hi Charlie, thank you for your question. You may want to look at your condenser fan and your evaporator fan motor to determine the source of the noise. Good luck with your repair.
