Product Description

Washer Door Boot Seal Specifications

Also known as a door boot seal or bellow and comes with a drain hole. Door boot 4986ER0004F is an original equipment manufacturer (OEM) part that fits some front-load washers in these series: Kenmore and Kenmore Elite 796; and LG WM and CW. Door boot 4986ER0004F forms a seal between the wash tub and the door, preventing leaks. This door boot includes a drain port; if your 27-inch LG front-load washer was made before September 2007, use door boot 4986ER0004B instead, because those washers don't have a drain port.

Hello Trisha, thank you for your question. The gasket is slightly porus and holds the mold to the surface. It is usually impossible to clean this part. The part will have to be replaced. I hope this helps!

Hello D, thank you for inquiring. If your washer is not draining, you will want to inspect the Pump Filter, part number PS3522306, for clogged debris that may be preventing it from draining. You may also want to consider replacing the Drain Pump and Motor Assembly, part number PS3579318. We have an installation video for the replacement Drain Pump and Motor Assembly on your model. Here is a link: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=HZr8qjQ81CQ. Good luck with your repair!

Replaced door bellow/ gasket and i still have a minor leak coming for the bottom of the glass door- what could be the problem?
For model number WM227HS
PartSelect logo
Hi Chris, Thank you for your question. The door gasket should have fixed the leak. If it is still leaking I would check to make sure the clamp securing it is tightened correctly. If it is not this will cause the door to leak. I hope this helps. Thank you and have a great day!
