How Do You Install The 3B74133K Fuse?Teresa Hood
    December 21, 2017
How do i install the 3b74133k fuse in a lmhm2017st microwave?
    For model number LMHM2017ST
Hi Teresa, Thank you for your question. Before you begin any repair please unplug the appliance from the electrical outlet or turn the circuit breaker off. NOTE: If you are not comfortable doing this yourself, please get an electrician to do this repair. Before you begin any repair please unplug the appliance from the electrical outlet. Use a Phillips head screw driver to unthread the screws securing the grill. With the screws removed, open the microwave oven door then the slide the grill to the left and lift it up to remove. Next remove the control panel mounting screw then lift the control panel up to detach. Then remove the screw holding the inner access panel and then release the panel from the retaining clips. To avoid injury, you will need to release the potentially dangerous charge from the capacitor. You can do this by place a screw driver with an insulated handle across the terminals. Be careful not to touch the screw driver blade. Now use the pliers to detach the old line fuse from noise filter board. Install the new fuse by snapping it into the bracket. Reinstall the inner access panel securing it with the screw. Now insert the control panel tabs to the slots in the frame and push the panel down. Secure it with the mounting screw. Insert the tabs of the grill into the frame and slide it to the right. Shut the oven door and then secure the grill with the screws. Plug the power cord back in and the microwave should now work. I hope this helps. Thank you and have a great day!

My microwave is dead. I think it might be the fuse but where is it so i can replace it? Thanks
    For model number LMV2073ST
Hi John, Thank you for your question. This part is located on the inside of your machine in the top. You would have to remove your vent grille and then a second metal grille to get at the part. However you have to be very careful. Unplug your appliance and make sure to safely discharge the capacitor in your microwave. If you do not safely discharge it, it could give you a serious electric shock. I hope that helps. Good luck with your repair.

Lights, fan and digital readout all work. Turntable doesn't and no heat. Will fuse fix this or does it sound like a door switch????
    For model number 721.85063010
Hi Leann, Thank you for your question. If the microwave will not heat and the turn table will not turn, the door switches are likely the cause. You will need to test the parts with a multi-meter. Here is a link to one of our videos on YouTube that you may use as a general reference on how to use one, https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=bWC44fHn0As. If the switches check out fine, where you are not getting heat, you should also check the magnetron, the fuse and switch holder. If the turntable is not turning you should also check the turntable motor. We hope this helps. Thank you and have a great day.

I have replaced the light bulb in the bottom of the unit. The old bulb doesn't look like it's bad. Installed new bulb, still doesn't work. Is there a fuse somewhere for the light? If so where, and what can you tell me about the fuse?
    For model number LMV1683ST
Hello Joe, thank you for your question. There is no fuse for the functioning of the lights. If the bulbs were replaced and didn't fix the issue, I would recommend replacing the Microwave light socket Part #: 6620G00007A. I hope this helps!

Microwave operated but did not heat
Initial failure of over range microwave Aug 3rd. Control Panel worked but no heat. Took to local LG authoriaed local repair place. They fixed it quickly and we re-installed it. Worked fine for 2 months then had similar failure again. Agaim took to same authorized repairer. They kept unit for 3 months but finally concluded theu could not fix it and suggested we contact LG for a partial refund. When they tested the unit during re-assembly in my presence, there was a blue flash and the fuse blew. Since we had built a custom tile mural back splash around this unit, I brought it home, ordered a number of time delay fuses new capacitor and two new high voltage diodes. However, using my Fluke DMM, I checked the existing capacitor and high voltage diode and they checked OK so I just replaced the time delay fuse. The high voltage transformer leads had 2 possible ways to connect to capacitor and diode. Tried one way, plugged unit in and turned it on, and immediatly blew the fuse. Replaced the fuse and reversed the high voltage transformer connections, amd turned unit pn, and it worked perfectly. Since we had experienced several power failures during the time of the original failure, the repairer concluded that power spikes might be at fault, so I also purchased a TrippLite ISOBAR4ULTRA 3300 Joule surge protector between wall outlet and microwave, and re-installed over range. It has worked perfectly since.
