The push button won’t depress to turn dryer on is it worth it to buy a new switch as i’m not sure if it is the switch is there a way to find out first
For model number Lec6646aw2
Hello Patrick, thank you for your question. If the push to start button won't physically depress to turn the dryer on I would recommend replacing the push to start switch. These steps may help you test the switch before ordering. Use your ohmmeter to test your switch for continuity. Begin by setting your ohmmeter to measure resistance at a scale of R x 1. If yours is a two-wire switch, touch each tester probe to each of the switch's terminals. You should receive a reading of infinity. While the probes are still touching the switch's terminals, press in on and hold the switch. The reading should change to zero. I hope this helps!
