Product Description

Water Pressure Switch Hose Specifications

This is a water pressure switch hose, also known as the air dome tube, for your washer. It is made of clear plastic and is sold individually. The hose transports water to your water pressure switch, so the switch can control how much water enters the washer during a cycle. If your washer will not fill up with water, or if water continues to fill the tub even after it is full, you may have a damaged water pressure switch hose. Inspect the hose for cracks and leaks, and if the hose is damaged you will need to replace it.

washer was overflowing-- not registering that the tub was full
I replaced both the tube and the pressure switch and still no luck. turns out that i didn't need either part. the little box that the tube hooks on to at the bottom left of the tub had a clog in it. we disconnected the tube from the switch and just blew through it. the clog broke loose and my washer works again!! decided that i was leaving the new parts on the machine. one less thing to worry about in the future.... ????

Water level overflowing
Unplug the appliance first! I removed the front panel and then the top panel with the lid by removing the two screws in the front and pulling up and out and unplugging the electrical connector. I then removed the 4 star screws from the top of the control section. The pressure switch is removed by pressing down on the tab and rotating it. I installed the new pressure switch and connected the three wires one at a time. I then re-routed the new hose and connected both ends. I reassembled everything and tested the new sensor by allowing the machine to fill with water. It now works properly.

water coming out of bottom of washing machine
was a toss up between the water inlet valve OR the hose pressure switch....why spend more time...I invested in both the water inlet valve and the hose pressure switch and replaced them both....I have the machine torn apart....I spend $45 more dollars...now it's ALL done....and works like a charm...if I were to isolate the problem...I would say, now, the hose pressure switch...but, I am happy and machine probably has 5 plus, more years left...and life is good.

Washing machine overflows on "Cold water" setting
Repair was simple. Initially thought the problem was the Water Level pressure swith, but since water overflow was only happening when selecting cold wash & during the rinse cycle (Always cold water) the Dual Valve Selenoid replacement FIXED the problem. Took 5 minutes to replace.

Water would not shut off when filling
I removed four hex screws from the top of the washer. I found the water level pressure switch and removed the dial. I turned it to remove it from the holding bracket. I removed both wires one at a time and placed them in the new switch one at a time so I wouldn't get them mixed up. I put the new switch in place and put the top back on using the hex screws. The dial was replaced. When I tested the dial I found that the dial did not match up to the water settings. They didn't even come close. Although the numbers were close on the switches, they were different. I had to remove the new switch and put the old one back on until I can locate the correct switch for my washer.

Noisy while spinning
I dissasembled the machine and it took about 30 minutes. Orderd the parts recommended for noisy spinning. Reinstalled the new parts / changed all drum straps. Cleaned the drain drum and spin drum and after complete reassembly the washer is still noisy in agitation and spin cycle. The motor, transmission, counter weight, and drum look ok but there is still a reason why the machine is still noisy. Spent 120.00 dollars on parts so far but the drum and motor, transmission and counterweight are very expensive to replace. I am just going to keep using the machine until the washer fails to work anymore. I'm not going to put any more money in the washer. I will just buy a new one. It's not hard to dissasembled and reassemble the washer. I purchased the parts that was recommended to fix the washer but they were not the ones. The new parts did help like the tub seal but the bottom line is that the washer is still noisy. I watched your videos to work on the washer and there were no special instructions on disassembly and reassembly. Like always there must be more than i know to repair this washer. Thanks

Washing machine never stops filling and thus overflows
Removed the screws from the control panel and flipped it open. Used putty knife to pop the retaining clips that held the front panel of the washer in place to expose the drum itself. Noticed black gunk build up in hose connecting the drum to the water level pressure switch.

Disconnected the hose at both ends. Attached the new hose to the pressure switch and proved it was working by blowing into the hose and getting the water to stop flowing into the washer.

Taped the old hose to the new hose so I could use it as a pull-wire to guide the new hose through its protected housing. Attached the other end of the new hose to the tub and voila, all was well.

water would not shut off and over flowed
I figured it had to be a water level shut off problem because I could still do other functions on the dial so I found you tube videos on suggested repair and disassembling. they were very helpful. and then searched Bing for Hotpoint and partsselect came up and they also had helpful instructions. I ordered the parts they suggested ;[;a water level selection switch and hose ] and had them in2 days put the hose on first and tried it and that was the problem sent the switch back for refund. they made it very easy the parts also came with very complete instructions I swear, it was like they sent their technician to show me what to do. great company

I have this washing machine and when I turn it on it completely fills up with water until it is overflowing and coming out of the back and bottom of the unit? Any suggestions?
For model number GTWN3000M0WS

Hi Michael, Thank you for your inquiry. I would suggest checking both your water inlet valve with a multi-meter to see if one of those parts are malfunctioning. It sounds like it could be one of those parts. Good luck with your repair.

After the machine has finished all cycles water continues to drip into the tub from the back top. What can I do?
For model number grwp1000m0ww
PartSelect logo
Hello Pete, Thanks for your question. It would be worth checking the water inlet valve, part number PS11721803, to see if it is intact. Shut off the power to the washer while the machine is filling with water, and if the washer continues to fill even without power, you'll need to replace the valve. The pressure switch (part number PS3487292) is also worth examining along with the air tube to the pressure switch to ensure it is clear of obstructions and not leaking. Also make sure the water valve is getting enough pressure (minimum 20 PSI). I hope this helps.

Gtwp1000m1ww will not stop filling with water. It continues to fill up with water even after unplugging the power. I purchased the following parts from parts select and replaced them but the washer still does not stop filling up with water. Parts replaced: 1. Water pressure switch hose; 2. Water level pressure switch; 3. Triple water inlet valve. I do not see any indication of anything clogged. Is there anything else i can check? Thank you?
For model number GTWP1000M1WW

Hi Jim, Thank you for your inquiry. There are some other parts that you will need to check to see which one is causing the issue. You will need to check the tub dampening strap, the hose and water inlet, the timer knob, the timer and the temperature switch. I hope this helps. Thank you and have a great day!

Fills fine on the wash cycle but only particle fills on the rinse cycle. It does not fill with enough water on the rinse cycle. Only cold water is connected to the machine.
For model number GTWN3000M1WS

Hi Tom, Thank you for the question. This sounds like the Timer is cutting the rinse cycle to soon. The timer controls most of the operations of the washer: water level, tub filling and emptying, length of cycles, and cycle setting sequences.I suggest replacing the timer switch,PartSelect Number PS3487294. Hope this helps!

I replaced the timer, and on the wash cycle it fills with water fine but on the rinse cycle, there's no water at all. What could it be?
For model number GLWN2800D1WS

Good Day Jonuel. Thank you for your question in regards to your unit (Model Number GLWN2800D1WS). Based on our research, this may be the result of a lid that has not been closed properly. You can order this part either online at our website www.PartSelect.com or by calling us by phone at 888-260-4310. We hope this helps. Best Regards.
