Dryer won't tumble, i get a hard hum. I know its not the motor because i removed the belt and the motor operates fine. If i open the door, push the door button in with one hand, rotate the drum while i'm turning it on, it will tumble but feels somewhat forced. What part do you think it needs??
For model number DBLR333ET0AA
Hello John, thank you for your question. We would recommend checking the belt and idler pulley for the proper tension, and the drum rollers to be sure they are moving freely. You should also check the drum bearing to be sure its not seized or seizing. However, each of the aforementioned parts should cause noise from the appliance if they are bad. It is possible the winding in the motor or the capacitor are failing and because of this are not able to create enough power to push the drum to get it started. If the first parts mentioned are in good condition the motor should be replaced. I hope this helps!
