Ice keeps building up in the hole that allows cold air into the fridge and makes the fridge warm and I had to manually defrost the ice every 3 days or so. I replaced the defrost thermostat and everything worked perfectly for about a week but now there is ice build up again. I tested the defrost heater for continuity and it checked out. Could the heater still be bad?

If the issue is still there, you need to check your defrost timer, part number PS11726371. Defrost timer manages the automatic defrost system in the refrigerator. We hope this information is useful!
