I was getting error code F2 every time I used the oven. It wasn’t coming to temperature and took forever to bake anything due to the oven turning off every time the error code came up. I replaced the temperature sensor and it has worked as expected since. I wasn’t sure that I had the tool at home as it was a type of screw I hadn’t seen before, but the end of my adjustable screwdriver fit perfectly over the screws, didn’t need to search for the right size or type of head. Removed oven from cabinet. unblug old sensor pluged in new and reinstalled oven. Esay repair though wish oven was designed so did not have to pull itout of cabinet which requires disconect electric cabel

When baking at temps > 400 the oven would beep with an error code F5 and shut off
I downloaded the installaion manual from the web for this model. First htings first, I located the circuit breaker for the oven and turned it off. Removed the lower trim piece from the bottom, next lifted the oven door off its hinges and set it to the side. I then wrapped a couple of small towels around the hinges for the door as per the manual (the hinges can pinch a finger). I then removed the four screws which secured the oven into the cabinet. Next I slid the oven forward allowing me access to the rear. I removed the pieces from the rear to gain access to the sensors connector, and unpl;ugged the sensor. Went around to the front and unscrewed the 2 screws securing the sensor and removed it. I then installed the new sensor, replaced the rear covers, slid the oven back into the cabinet, secured the four screws, snapped on the lower trim, remounted the oven door, and turned the breaker on. Oven working fine now.

Took off oven door and removed racks. Removed the cover on the back side (5 screws removed with nut driver) Pulled sensor out the front side of the oven. Threaded the new sensor through and put all back together.

oven would not get hot
ordered over the phone a new temp sensor. Un plug the oven, take off the back, open oven and unscrew the temp sensor, pull the sensor until the elec connector clip comes through so you can unclip the old sensor, clip on the new then pull the line back and re attach the sensor to the ovn. Plug in the oven. Pretty simple, just hard to work inside the oven. I unclipped the sensor line outside the oven to make sure it would come apart first before I was working inside the oven.

The oven does not keep adequate temperature.
Pull the range out from the wall to access the rear of the unit. Turn off power to the range by unplugging from the wall or turning off the breaker. Remove the large back cover from the oven portion of the range. Locate the two small wires and connector which is located between the two connections for the broiler heating element. Unplug the small connector. Open the oven door and remove the screw that holds the temperature sensor in place between the broiler heating elements on the inside of the oven. Gently pull the sensor and the wire connector through the hole and discard. Feed the new connector and wire through the hole from the inside of the oven. Attach the sensor to the oven wall with the screw. Go to the back of the unit and make sure that no insulation has gotten into the oven space. Re-route the new wire being careful not to let it touch the contacts for the broiler heating element. Reconnect the wires to the connector and replace the back cover of the oven. Plug in the range or turn on the circuit breaker. Slide the range back into place and re-level the unit. Test the oven to make sure the temperature is accurate and will maintain temperature.

When i turn on the oven it never reaches temperature. The indicator remains on preheat. I hear the control clicking as usual like it is trying to reach temperature buts never does.

When baking corn bread, bottom will burn before top will brown, and middle will not be done however the broiler does work when its being used what do you think might be the problem

Hi Craig, Thank you for the question. When the oven has an uneven temperature it is most likley the oven temperature sensor.Testing the temperature sensor probe on your oven is easy. With the sensor at room temperature, measure the resistance between the two prongs at the end of the sensor connector. The resistance of the sensor should read approximately 1080 – 1090 ohms at room temperature. Hope this helps!

The oven temperature is accurate and cooks well. However, in the clean cycle it goes into over temp alarm after about forty five minutes. What would be the likely cause?

Hello Bill, Thank you for the question. You can try testing the sensor. Testing the temperature sensor probe on your oven is easy. With the sensor at room temperature, measure the resistance between the two prongs at the end of the sensor connector. The resistance of the sensor should read approximately 1080 – 1090 ohms at room temperature. If the sensor is good, you may need to replace the control board, PartSelect Number PS238571. Our oven is about 18 years old and when the oven is set to say 400, it only heats up to around 300 and beeps saying it is at temperature. I'm thinking it is the temperature control kit but i'm only guessing; any suggestions?

Our oven doesn’t seem to bake evenly and the temp is varying from the set point about +\-25 degrees fahrenheit. I checked the temp sensor at room temp and the meter displayed 1089 ohms. Any suggestions on what else i can check? Bottom element appears to be ok.

Hello Jeremy, thank you for your question. If the sensor, and elements are testing within range the issue could be the electronic control board. I would suggest re-testing the sensor, and perhaps taking the plunge and replacing that part as its less expensive than the board, and usually if the board is bad the oven won't heat at all. However, the thermostat might be working intermittently and is ultimately sending mixed signals to the board. I hope this helps!

No failure codes . All " inputs" light up push start no response. I'm assuming the temperature sensor is malfunctioning ?

Thank you for your question. The oven sensor could be causing this. f the oven is not heating correctly, then the issue is likely with the oven sensor, sometimes called the oven thermostat, and you will need to check it with a multimeter. When testing the sensor with a multimeter, the sensor should be tested at room temperature. You will need to measure the resistance between the two prongs at the end of the sensor connector. Replace the oven sensor if the reading is less than 900 Ohms or more than 1200 Ohms. You should also check the electronic control board and the wiring between the sensor and the electronic control board to see which part is causing the issue. I hope this helps.
