Making a humming noise and no heat
Your website indicate this maybe the rectifier , I order the part and replace it. Less than 10 minutes the microwave was fix. Thank you for diagnostic

turns on no heat and hums
Replaced rectifier to no avail still have the same problem. Original rectifier tested bad and was replaced with the new one.. I checked door switches, magnatron, and capacitor all test good. I am stumped please give me some more troubleshooting ideas Thanks

We have no heat in our microwave. Lights are on, display on, turntable rotates, timer works, clock works. I suspect it is not the relay switch. my best guess is it is the high voltage diode. If it is the magnatron, I am not sure I would fix it. $138.21 could go toward a new unit. Last time a problem like this happened 1 1/2 years ago, the cost for labour was $406.00 to fix.

Thank you for your question. If the microwave is not heating, the issue could be either the line fuse, the magnetron or the diode. To test the thermal fuse, Disconnect your appliance from the power source before attempting this inspection. Locate and remove the thermal fuse. You will need to remove the appliance’s cabinet in order to access it and will need to disconnect the wires attached to the fuse in order to remove it. With the fuse removed from the appliance, set your multimeter to the Rx1 setting, and touch the probes to the terminals to test for continuity. A properly functioning thermal fuse should produce a reading of 0. If the results of your test differ from the above, you will need a replacement thermal fuse. To test the magnetron, verify that you have disconnected the appliance from the power source. In order to access the magnetron, you will need to remove the appliance’s cabinet. Next, discharge the high voltage capacitor, then verify that the high voltage diode is working and that the mounting bolts are tight. Remove the magnetron to test it if no other issues are found.
Using a multimeter on Rx1, touch the probes to the terminals, this should produce a reading of two to three ohms of resistance. Next, move one probe to touch the metal housing of the magnetron. This test shouldn’t indicate that continuity is present. If the results of your test do not match the results above, you will need a replacement magnetron. To test the diode, make sure that the microwave has been unplugged. Locate and remove your high voltage diode to test it for continuity. To access it, you will first need to remove the cabinet and discharge the high voltage capacitor. Set your multimeter to Rx1 and touch the probes to the terminals. Next, reverse the probes to check for continuity in the other direction. You should receive a reading that shows continuity in one direction, but not the other direction. If your diode does not show continuity, or shows continuity in both directions, you will need a replacement high voltage diode. We hope this helps. Thank you and have a great day!

Will this part work in fixing my problem which is loud noise and not heating

Thank you for your question. It could, I would suggest testing the part first if you can. There are a few parts that could cause that issue. I would suggest checking your door switches as well. If all of those parts test alright, you may have to replace your magnetron. Good luck with your repair.

Hi William, thank you for your question! Based on our understanding of the issue, you may have a faulty high voltage diode, part number PS2339491. It converts AC input voltage into DC output voltage. You may need to replace the diode to fix the issue. We hope this solves your problem!
