Door Switch - 3 Wire

Hello Dan, Thank you for the question. Here are some steps to replace the switch. The top panel is held in place in the front by 3 plastic tabs on the console,and 2 screws In the rear. Remove the 2 screws, slide the top back about 1/2 inch and lift the top off. Open the door, Disconnect the wires from the door switch. Squeeze the release tabs on the ends of the switch and push it out the front. Reverse the procedure to install the switch, then test the dryer for proper operation and heat. Hi Robert, thank you for your question. It could be. You might want to check your door switch to see if it is reading that the door is open and so not allowing the appliance to continue the cycle. Otherwise, for when you are having heating issues, you would want to check these parts: For all of these parts you can test them with a multi meter. First you will have to test your thermostats and thermal fuses to make sure they are all functioning correctly. After that you will want to test parts in this order, your m series coils, igniter itself, or your radiant flame sensor. You may also want to check your regulator just to make sure that part is functioning properly as well. Something else you should also check would be your filter and ducts. Make sure there is absolutely no blockage that would restrict air flow in your appliance. Good luck with your repair.

Hello Thomas, thank you for your question.The dr code is in reference to the door. Either the door isn't shutting properly and activating the switch, the switch itself is bad or the electronic board has failed. First check to be sure the door is closing properly and tightly. Check the catch on the inside of the door to be sure its is closing and holding the door closed properly. If the door is fine, then test the door switch to be sure its activating and allowing the signal to be sent to the unit to start the dryer. If the door switch is tested and is functioning correctly, the issue is with the electronic board which would have to be replaced. I hope this helps!
