Evaporator Kept Icing Up , Not Getting Cold Fridge Side
Had to take everything out of freezer including shelves. Removed lower back panel to expose evap. Assm. And thermostat. Defrosted evap using a handheld blower drier while using a shop vac to suck out the melting water from the evaporator tray while melting. Installed the thermostat utilizing color coded wires and did a test run. Worked perfectly after that.

Fridge side wasn't cooling and the Freezer was icing not letting air from the bottom going to the fridge side.
First I unpluged, open the back right side, and I put a sponge to get the water that was melting from the unit, at front took the ice bucket off, pull the three shelvings and the lower drawer off too, unscrew three little nutscrews (1/4) from the middle and two from the bottom, pull the cover sideways and you can see the Thermostat on the left side top of the coils, just unplug one and cut the other, for the heater evaporator, there two clips holding it, pull the clips off and replace the unit, put everything back together and believe me will work, after two hours you can see the difference, I call many places for the repair i was gonna get charge $90.00 for the check, another $90.00 per hour plus parts, I just spend less than $70.00 Thank guys.

Freezer wouldn't defrost
Freezer kept freezing over so the fridge wouldn't get cold air. Easy fix. Pulled all the shelves out first. Then took out the screws on the back wall of freezer. Removed the bottom panel only to expose the thermostat. Cut the wires and spliced them together to the color coded wires on the new one I purchased. My 4 year old could have done this. They supplied the wire nuts too!! Clipped it back on tied all the wires back together with zip tie and put the covers, screws and shelves back in. Works perfect. Was quoted $200 to do this job. Wish they were all this easy. Thanks PartSelect!!

Our refrigerator would lose its cool.
I found that the evaperator coil was freezing up solid, not allowing air flow. Something was wrong in the defrost circuit. After troubleshooting, I found that the defrost timer was okay, as well as the fan. The only thing left was the temperature switch (thermostat). I found the part online for a reasonable price and ordered it. The part actually came the next day, I was amazed. I removed the old part by cutting the wires. Then I snapped in the new thermostat and crimped the wires back together (color-matched). It was that easy and I saved myself hundreds of dollars. Great service!

Frezzer kept freexing up, and auto defrost would not work. Fan running, compressor not turing on, fridge warm.
Removed all the food from the freezer. Removed 5 screws that hold the back cover on and removed the cover. Melted the build up of ice that was present on the coils and other components behind the cover. I was sure to keep a towel under the fridge as the drip tray was sure to over fill. With the fridge unplugged, cut the wires from the thermostat. On the wiring side, not the thermostat side, shorted the wires I just cut together and plugged in the fridge. The defrost heater turned on. This told me that it was indeed the termostat and not the timer. Replaced the thermostat and it has been runing ever since.
