The washer works fine but it makes a loud squeaky noise when is in rinsing mode. I think one of the bearings is damage and it is making the noise. Which part do you think is the damage part? Thank you.
    For model number MAH5500BWW
Hi Manuel, Thank you for the question. I suggest replacing the Lip Seal Kit,PartSelect Number PS2003500 first. Other customers with the same issue had this kit replaced. The bearing is only sold as part of the Outer Tub and it is No Longer Available. Hope this helps!

The washer makes howling noise during spin cycle
    For model number MAH5500BWW
Hello and thank you for writing. A washer making a loud noise during the spin cycle can also be caused by a faulty drive pulley PS2003327. The pulley is what the belt PS2003327(if applicable to your washer) rides on to spin your washer's tub. The pulley can be made of plastic or metal. It could be simply worn out or just loose. If that checks out ok you would have to consider changing the spinner support and seal. We hope this helps. Please contact us anytime if you require further assistance.

Bearing the bearings for the inner tube are bad. I ordered a kit i thought was for the bearing(i realized this was wrong totally on me) i need the bearings or kit that will replace the bad ones.( i got seal kit 12002022 does this even go to this washer.
    For model number Mah5500BWW
Hello Matt, Thank you for contacting us. This part is compatible with your washer, however there is a note here that says the bearing is only available in the outer tub assembly, part number PS2021871. This has since been discontinued. I suggest contacting the manufacturer directly to inquire whether they have replaced it or not. Have a great day!

Bearings between spinner and outer tub replaced
The Neptune stacked washer/dryer maintenance manual was a must-have for this repair.

The washer's sound during spin cycle had changed over time from a jet-engine whine to a low rumble. Inspection from the rear revealed that the seals between the spinner and outer tub had failed, and the bearings had been damaged by water intrusion. The bearings are not a replacement item. They are installed as part of the outer tub assembly, so the whole outer tub must be replaced. This requires almost complete disassembly of the washing machine.

The disassembly was relatively easy with the maintenance manual in hand. I had to use a gear puller to remove the pulley, though. I decided to replace not only the outer tub, but the spinner shaft as well since I believed the shaft may have been damaged when the bearings failed.

Reassembly was not so easy. I installed the outer tub, then wrestled with the heavy counterweights. The lower weight was particularly unwieldy, since I had support it from below while attaching it to the bottom of the tub. I finally used books of different thicknesses to hold the weight in place while locating the screw holes for attachment. The upper weight attached easily after I wrestled it into position. This is a concrete weight of about 25 lbs, I would guess.

The other problem was attaching the outer tub cover with the rubber boot attached. It is held by 12 clips, and it was difficult to seat the cover tight enough to attach the clips. I started at the bottom and worked around, instaling clips as I went. The last 4 clips were the hardest; I had to cinch up the cover with C-clamps before installing the clips.

The rest of the assembly was not difficult.

I had my wife help locate the new tub on the struts in the back and to help support the motor while I hung it on the outer tub. Otherwise, this is a one-man repair.

Total cost around $350, thanks to Partselect.com reasonable prices. I shopped around and they offered the best price snd excellent service.

I spent about 8 hours on this job.

Bearings went out in the drum.
purchased the bearings at Napa auto parts for 16$. Over all it was a little difficult to get the bearings out and back in. Used a brass drift to drive them out and to seat them back in..

Loud Knocking during the Spin Cycle
Removed the Rear and Front Skins of the Washer. Removed the Belt and Tub Drive Wheel from the rear of the Tub. Removed the Front Rubber Gasket and Bracket Assy. Removed the Tub Cover w/Seal, Spinner Balance Ring (both were damaged.) Knocked the Spin Tub forward with a sharp hammer-rap on the Axle (the Axle is pressed into a Bearing that remains in the Stationery Tub.) Removed the Spinner Assy--found one of the securing bolts on the tri-Arm Support sheared off causing an imbalance. Also, the tri-Arm Support was cracked in various places. Replaced all bad parts using the Spinner Support Assy Kit and new Plastic Washers. Replaced everything else in reverse order then tested. Finally, reinstalled all Machine Skins. Very successful, about 3 hours.

very loud noise when washing and especially spinning
Pre-ordered the spinner support & seal kit, searched online and found a repair manual, disassembled machine according to the manual, removed snap ring outside of rear bearing, used hammer and drift punch to remove bearings, went to local bearing supply store and purchased 1-6206 2RSJEM and 1-6207 2RSJEM for a total of $43. Used needle scaler to remove the ~1/8th inch of scale from inside of the outer drum and outside of the inner drum and other parts encrusted with scale. Installed new bearings and the seals and new spinner and reassembled the rest of the washer. Now we can't hear it when it spins!

        Bad bearings and support arm
We took off the fornt and back of the machine and pulled out the outer tub...then pulled the rear and the front bearings...and the sleeve between...and the support arm...We had only thought we would replace the bearings, but there is a seal in the hub of the support arm that often goes wrong and causes the bearing problem...That appeared to be the case in this fix...so we are glad we chose to replace the arm too. Then we reassembled in reverse order and voila! The machine is as quiet as can be!

washer was noisy so I replaced the bearings and put a new shaft on the tub
I looked on Utube at some videos which helped a lot all told i replaced the bearings in the outer hub which was quite a chore as the bearings came out rather hard I used a steel rod about 18 inches long and a heavy hammer to pound the old bearings out they came out hard then I put the new bearings in very carefully as I had to tap them back into place and installed the seal and put the new shaft on the tub and slid everything back into place. The instructions that came with the new seal and shaft were very helpful I bought the new bearings from local implement dealer as they were not available with the shaft and seal didn't keep track of my hours probably about 21/2 to 3 hours
