How do i install thermostat?
For model number Rb536dpiww
PartSelect logo
Hi Christine, Thank you for your inquiry. Before beginning any repair please unplug the power cord from the electrical outlet. First, you will need to remove the thermostat knob. This may require some effort. You may have to use some string or some wire to pry it off. Next remove the screws securing the upper back panel and pull the panel off. Remove the mounting screws to release the old oven thermostat assembly. Install the new oven thermostat assembly by positioning it the control panel and securing it with the screws. Transfer the wires from the old thermostat to the new one. Unclip the old sensing bulb and route it out of the cabinet and remove the old assembly. Route the new sensing bulb through the cabinet and snap it into position. Replace the back panel by securing it with the screws. Put the knob back on and plug the oven back in. I hope this helps. Thank you and have a great day!

I unhooked the part and I forgot what wires go where is there anyway to see a picture or video on where the wires go?
For model number RB525BH3WH
PartSelect logo
Hi Angela, Thank you for the question. We do not have a picture sorry, but according to the wiring diagram, the Black double wire goes to terminal 4, white double wire to terminal 5 with a single white to 5. Red wire and brown wire to terminal 1, double red to terminal labeled P1/2, blue wire to terminal labeled 10/7, and yellow wire to terminal labeled P10/6. Hope this helps!

Oven will not turn off only by turning breaker off
For model number JBP65GS1AD
PartSelect logo
Hi Don, thank you for your question. There are a few parts that could cause this issue in your appliance. First I would say test your elements with a multi meter to see if they are working correctly or not. They should be reading between 0 - 50 ohms to be working correctly. The other part you should check would be your oven temperature sensor. That can also be tested with a multi meter and should be reading between 1000 - 1100 ohms. If those three parts are fine however, then the issue may be in your control board. I hope that helps. Good luck with your repair.

I’m looking to replace the thermostat in my oven/range. The part number on the original thermostat is wb20k10011. After searching the part # on your site it says that, that part has been replaced with part # wb20k10026. However the model number cross reference does not list the model number of my range. I am wondering if this is indeed the thermostat that i need .

Musto temperature on the range doesn’t work i can have it i want to end it to be like is on full power Max hair
PartSelect logo
Hi Marcus, Thank you for your question. If the oven is not heating correctly, then the issue is likely with the oven sensor, sometimes called the oven thermostat, and you will need to check it with a multimeter. When testing the sensor with a multimeter, the sensor should be tested at room temperature and it should be unplugged from the oven. You will need to measure the resistance between the two prongs at the end of the sensor connector. Replace the oven sensor if the reading is less than 900 Ohms or more than 1200 Ohms. You may have to check the electronic control board as well if the sensor checks out fine. I hope this helps. Thank you and have a great day!

Does this prt also control the temperature for the elements on the stovetop?
For model number RB526DP2BB
PartSelect logo
Hello Tyrone, Thank you for your inquiry. The thermostat establishes and maintains the internal temperature of the oven cavity. If your stove top elements are not heating, then we would recommend checking the element, the burner switch, and the surface burner terminal block kit. You can test the parts with a multimeter. If you are unfamiliar with how a multimeter functions, we have videos available to assist you. We hope this helps and if you need help placing an order for a part, customer service is open 7 days a week. Please feel free to give us a call. We look forward to hearing from you!
