Temp sensor
We had ordered 2 different parts not knowing what was exactly wrong with our fridgidaire. The first part arrived quickly, the thermoster was back ordered. Called part select as it was taking forever for the part, spoke with a very knowledgeable lady, who did some research for us and decided to cancel thermoster and order temperature sensor, it came about a week later and it worked. This lady knew her stuff, saved us a lot of time, energy and money. She was amazing. Thank you part select

My fridge temp was warm. Freezer temp was ok, but fluctuated some.
I checked the dampener, it worked. The compressor and fan worked. I knew because my freezer was still hovering around 10 degrees. Coils were clean. Thermistor was the only thing it could be. Took all my shelves out. Removed four screws. Took the back panel off. The thermistor sits tucked in on the side. I piped it out, in clipped it. Used my multimeter to test the numbers. Numbers were off just a bit. Ordered the part. Crossed my fingers.,took less then 5 minutes to put the part in. Plugged in the fridge. It was sitting at 33 degrees in about an hour and a half. I can’t believe I fixed it. I knew NOTHING about refrigerators. For how big my fridge is, it would have cost 3,000 and up to get a new one with the same cu ft size. Instead, it cost me $44. That includes shipping. Thank you Parts Select!! Made it so easy to pick the correct part for my model fridge!

Sy ef. Evap fan not coming on. Defrost is fine, replaced motor and temp. Sensor. Is there anything else besides the board?
For model number FGHS2631PF2
Hello Vince, thank you for getting in touch. Based on our research, the error code you mentioned indicates a problem with the evaporator fan circuit, likely causing the freezer to be not cold enough. As you have already replaced the evaporator fan motor and the temperature sensor, we would recommend making sure that the motor's wire harness is intact. If the problem persists, then you may need to check the control board, part number PS10062915, to solve the problem. We hope this helps!

Hi my problem is it keeps freezing foods near the back and in crisper draws at bottom.. changed the damper air tower and didn’t help.. lil ice build up on the lower half of tower.. any suggestions thanks
For model number GRFS2853AF4
Hello Johnson, thank you for your inquiry. Ensure the refrigerator temperature is set correctly. The recommended temperature for the fridge is between 37°F and 40°F (3°C to 4°C). If it’s set too low, it can cause freezing. Also, ensure there’s no blockage in the air vents between the freezer and fridge. Restricted airflow can cause uneven cooling and freezing in certain areas. A faulty thermistor (temperature sensor) can cause the refrigerator to overcool. Test the thermistor for continuity using a multimeter and replace it if defective. The part number is PS17647917. We hope this solves your problem!

The fridge was moved to another town on its side. Then it was left to stand for for 3 days to allow the fluids inside to settle..
We plugged the unit in this morning. It is now like an oven in the top part as well as the freezer section. The alarm is going off and the temp indicates 49º C in both compartments. Any ideas would be very much appreciated.

Hello Michael, thank you for getting in touch. Based on our understanding of the issue, we would suggest checking the inverter board, part number PS2361242, to solve the problem. A malfunctioning inverter board will cause the compressor to not kick on, causing the refrigerator to not cool. We hope this helps!

I know this is the model number of my Frigidaire refrigerator, I’ll check again today. It’s only 2 years old and now the freezer builds ice all over the evaporator and won’t get cold enough and the fridge side sits at 50 degrees. I was thinking it could be the defrost sensor/ thermostat. It’s black side by side with ice/ water on front. I removed back panel from freezer and don’t see the sensor? Want to get correct part
For model number FRSS2623AB8
Hi Doug, thank you for reaching out. The issue could be with the thermistor kit, part number PS8769098. You may need to replace it to fix the issue. We hope this sorts out your problem!
