Ice maker stopped producing ice.
Removed the old ice maker by taking out three screws. Unplugged the electrical connection to the old ice maker. Replaced the old ice maker with the new one. Reconnected the electrical, replaced the screws, and reset the new ice maker. The replacement part has been working perfectly. This was an extremely easy replacement job!

I am replacing the ice maker. I want to know if a W11359449 can replace the current ice maker which is a W11359448?

On the Ice Maker W11700250, what is the 'off-on' positions of the ice lever? Mine seems to be stuck in the 'up' position but the ice maker works. This seems opposite how a 'wire' lever works.

Hello Bryan, thank you for getting in touch. The ice maker is usually “OFF” on the up position of the lever, and “ON” on the down position. If the arm is stuck in the “UP” (off) position and the ice maker still works, it likely means there is an internal issue, such as ice buildup around the arm or a problem with the ice maker. Defrost the freezer and examine the lever and the ice maker. We hope this helps.

New fridge, ice tray will not fill with water

Hi Dale,
Thank you for your question. If the refrigerator is new and you have just installed it, it will take 24 hours before the ice maker starts making ice. If it has been longer than 24 hours, check the water inlet valve to see if it operating normally. You will need to visually inspect it to see if there is damage to valve or the water lines and you will need to test it for continuity with a multimeter on the Rx1 setting. Also check the lines for any clogs. Before removing and checking any part in the refrigerator, unplug it from the electrical outlet. If the water inlet valve or the lines show no signs of damage or clogs, test it with the multimeter. Touch the probes to the terminals. You should get a reading between 200 and 500 ohms. If you receive any other reading, you need a replacement water inlet valve. We hope this helps!
MFG date 2021. Ice maker stopped working, would not reset the arm. Is the solution replacement of the whole icemaker part?

Hi Zlatina, thank you for contacting us. Before replacing the ice maker, verify the water supply line is connected and not kinked or clogged. If it is fine, the issue could be with the ice maker, part number PS17216974. You may need to replace it to fix the issue. We hope this solves your problem!
