Good afternoon. My icemaker is not working, I ran diagnostics and got an E5 code on test 56. I replaced the thermistor and now have E0 on readout. Good. But ice maker still not working. Ran test 58 result code is 00. test 57 code result is 20. Test 59 code 10.
Can you help me with troubleshooting?
thanks
For model number wrf736sdam14
Hello Tim, thank you for contacting us. Based on the description that you have provided, the code on test 58 that gave you a 00 tells that the ice maker heater and motor are off and the icemaker is on a harvest mode. The error code 20 on test 56 means that the icemaker itself has a bad position sensor. The error code 10 on test 59 indicates the motor rotating clockwise until home position and in progress. We would recommend replacing the ice maker assembly, part number PS17215831, to fix the issue. We hope this solves your problem!

For model number WRF736SDAW14
Hi Devin, thank you for reaching out. We have attached the link to the image. We have found the instructions to get the ice maker out. These may not be of the same model but will help you to get it out. You may need to follow these steps:
1. Disconnect the power and water supply to the refrigerator.
2. To get access to the ice maker, you will need to remove the top panel, ice box fascia, and ice box assembly.
3. Remove the shelves.
4. Open the water filter compartment and remove the screws with a nut driver, then firmly grab the top panel within the water filter opening and pull down.
5. Disconnect the electrical connector by depressing the locking tab.
6. Remove the water line retaining clip by placing your fingers on the backside and pull it out and down to release the locking tabs.
7. Disconnect the other water line by pushing the retaining collar in while pulling the line out.
8. Disconnect the electrical connectors by depressing the locking tabs.
9. Use a screwdriver and depress the locking tabs, then separate the fascia from the fridge.
10. Depress the locking tab on the connector and remove the fascia.
11. Use a nut driver to remove the screws.
12. Pull the ice box assembly towards the front of the fridge to release the locking tabs.
13. Peel back the tape and remove the wires from the retainers.
14. Use a screwdriver to remove the screws.
15. Pull and tilt up on the back edge of the cover and slide it out of the retaining tabs across the front, then push and feed the wire retainer and wire through the cover.
16. Peel back the piece of tape and disconnect the electrical connectors.
17. Lift the ice maker out of the icebox.
We hope this information is useful!
