Getting SY EH error. Disconnected the touch control panel (PS16227185) and reconnected it back. It showed a high temperature for both the fridge and freezer. Let it run for a few hours, and the temperature returned to normal (37/0 degrees F). Later error code SY EH returned again. The evaporator fan motor was not running. Gained access to evaporator fan motor and defrost thermostat. Could not find the problem. Put them back, and the fan motor was running, and over a couple of hours, the situation was normal again at 37/0 degrees F. The problem is the fan motor keeps running. Normally, when the freezer door is closed, the light goes out and the fan motor will run. Once you pull the freezer door out, the light comes on and the fan motor cuts out. But in my situation, the fan motor keeps running regardless of whether the freezer is in or out. Could the problem be due to a defective defrost thermostat #PS 2378768 or a defective board control #PS16227185? Both items are available at your store, but I want to buy the correct part. Thanks in anticipation. Rochester.

Hello Rochester, Thank you for reaching out. The SY EF error code indicates an issue with the evaporator fan circuit. This could be due to an issue with the fan motor, wiring, or the control board. If the Wire Harness is good and the Fan is running, it could be a faulty Control Board. We hope this solves your problem!
