Machine would stop at spin cycle
After disconnecting water lines and power, tip machine onto its back. The actuator is located under the drum. Remove the cover over the motor/ drive belt. Actuator is located by the transmission and held on by several screws. Unplug the wiring harness and remove three screws with Phillips screwdriver. Install new actuator..

Washer was stuck on rinse cycle
Research showed it was the transmission and the actuator . Parts were super easy to install and it solved the issue 100%
PS - I put some light lithium grease on the transmission and it’s quieter than it was when new
When to PartSelect Web site, used their trouble shooting guide, Used their advice, which was to replace the actuator. bought and installed the actuator which took around 20 minutes or so. washer started working fine after replacing. Thanks to the website I save a lot of money. Thanks PartSelect

Washer wasn't agitating.
First, this is the second time the transmission actuator went bad. The first-time washer was still under warrenty and I watched the tech replace it. This time warranty has expired and I'm mechanically inclined, so I ordered the part. Replacing was easy, unplug, tip washer up so you can get under it, remove plastic guard (two hex nuts) and remove actuator by removing two screws. Reverse procedure to install new actuator. The only caution I will say is when tipping washer if you have a wall to lean it against, perfect, just put something under it for saftey so it can't fall on you.

Reolaced actuator
1. Unplugged the electrical cord 2. Unscrewed the plastic guard 3. Unscrewed the actuator screws 4 Unplugged the cord. 5. Replaced the olld one with the new one and reversed the order 6. Uprighted the machine 7 Performed trail run with vinegar

Hello Montona, Thank you for the question. Your washer senses the contents to determine the load size and balance to decide on the right amount of water to clean the load. If it is stuck in sensing mode, you can try to reset the appliance. To reset, unplug the washer and leave it for about 15 to 20 minutes before powering it on again. Lift and close the lid about six times within 12 seconds to reset the unit. We hope this helps!

THE MACHINE WAS STARTED. THE WATER TO THE MACHINE WAS CUT OFF. THE PUMPWAS RUNNING AND THE MACHINE CUT NOE BE CUT OFF. I UNPLUGGED THE MACHINE. THEN PLUGGED BACK IN AND THE PUMP WAS STARING TO RUN BUT STILL COULD NOT BE CUT OFF AT THE SWITCH AND NOW ALL THE INDICATER LIGHTS ARE OUT. WHEN PLUGGED IN THE PUMP RUNS, BUT NOTHING ELSE WORKS.

If the unit is in flood mode, you just need to unplug the washer for 60 seconds, so the washer knows you are in front of it. Then plug the washer back in and give it 20 minutes to finish its flood mode sequence. The drain pump will continue to run until the sequence is finished. Nothing will be harmed, it is designed to do this. Once it is done, the drain pump will shut off and you can use the washer like normal. Just be sure the water is turned onto the washer, and you should be good to go. Now, if the unit does not reset, the control board inside your control board, part number PS12114298, needs to be replaced. Good luck with the repair!
