the first order was ordered wrong for me and the part was to big so I had to send it back and order another. The second dispenser was the right one and went on well to the machine. Just had to put it on the machine by hand.

Fabric Softener Dispenser clogged
Pushed the new one into place. No tools, no fuss and very little swearing involved. Clogg was caused by erroneously pouring the liquid detergent into the very handy opening reserved for fabric softener. I'd love to say my wife did that, but.... no, it was me. NOW, the real story. I ordered the part via the web at 10:00 a.m. It was delivered to me at 9:30 a.m. the next morning via Fed Ex. Wow! Great job at PartSelect.

Agitator broken. Bolt missing.
Had to clean out area where bolt was to go as it was full of debris. Placed agitator on, bolted on , placed softener dispenser on. Done

The dispenser that I purchased 1 year ago broke (flaw in plastic part, I think)
My washer is an Amana He, but the part is made by Whirlpool, I think. I just set the new part on the middle agitator in the washer and pushed it firmly down and it snapped into place. It was amazingly EASY!!!!!!!

Agitator was not spinning
Pretty simple, I removed one of the screws that holds the agitator, pulled it up completely and put the new one in. Took me 5 minutes to do so.

Will the softener dispenser 8575076a work on this machine, it didn't come with one when we bought it new.

Hi Brad, Thank you for the question. Since the appliance does not come with a dispenser I have no way to know if this one will fit. In Most cases the appliances that do not come with a dispenser have a agitator that sits to high and close to the lid to have a dispenser. Hope this helps!

Part ps1488027 - my fabric softener dispenser is clogged with softener. I want to clean it. The two-part dispense is easily removed, however, how do i remove the top cap from the dispenser so cleaner out the softener? Same for agitator it fits into - any way to remove agitator to clean the softener build up in the top cup?
Hi Jacki, Thank you for the question. The dispenser does not come apart sorry. The best way to clean it would be to let it soak in hot water with vinegar. In order to remove the agitator, you will need to remove the dispenser and under the dispenser you will see a agitator cap and seal that pulls out and a bolt. Remove the bolt and the agitator will up and off its post. Hope this helps!
