The timer works and does a load of wash fine. But the knob does not retract into the timer when done. It stay out like you had started the load. You can advance the timer with the skirt ring but manually have to push the start knob in, turn the skirt to desired wash then pull the knob to start the water to fill.

Thank you for your question. You may need to replace your knob by the sounds of it. I would suggest checking to see if there are any damage to the knob that you have. If you do not see any, then it could be that your timer is broken. However I would suggest checking your knob first. Good luck with your repair.
