Problem Solved
We began having an intermittent fault with this blower about a year ago. The oven was about 4 or 5 years old then. Eventually, it became more and more frequent. There are some good videos on YouTube on how to troubleshoot this issue and replace the blower and the part is easy to find and purchase from PartSelect. It was delivered in a few days and the oven was up and running in time for Thanksgiving Dinner.

KitchenAid range model: Kseb900ess
When i try to start the over to bake i get a msg on the display screen
"cooling fan speed too low"
Do i need to replace the fan ? or is there another issue?
thank you
For model number W11107275
Hi David,
Thank you for your question. If you are getting a message that states that the cooling fan speed is too low or too high, the air flow in the oven may be restricted, the oven cooling fan may not be working correctly, or there may be an issue with the wiring that is connected to the fan. You may be able to reset the oven by turning the power off to the oven at the circuit breaker for 1 minute and then turning it back on. Once it is back on, wait a minute to see if the error code comes back on. If it does, you will have to verify what is causing the issue. If you are not comfortable checking the oven yourself, you will need to have a technician come and check it for you. I hope this helps. Thank you and have a great day!

The oven works for awhile and and then shuts down and error code f8eo fan speed too low. I have reset it several time which didn’t help.John
For model number Weg760hodoho
Hello John, thank you for your question. Here are some steps to determine what the issue is. The error code is in relation to the Cooling Fan Speed being Too Low Fan speed below 500 rpm, either because the fan is spinning too slowly or because there is a problem with the Hall Effect sensor. 1. Unplug range or disconnect power. 2. Pull the range forward and remove the top access cover. 3. Verify there are no obstructions in the blower. If there is an obstruction, remove it and go to Step 6. If no obstructions, go to Step 4. 4. Disconnect control board connector P5 and check the fan motor for 105O resistance between P5-1 and P6-3. If the motor test is not good, replace motor and go to Step 6. If motor tests good, go to Step 5. 5. Check the Hall Sensor by removing the control board P7 connector and testing for 5 VDC between P7-7 and P7-1. If test is good, go to Step 6. If test results are not correct, replace the Hall Sensor. 6. Replace all parts and panels before operating. 7. Plug in range or reconnect power. 8. Start a cook cycle and check for proper operation. 9. Enter the diagnostic mode to view the “Faults” screen. Press START TIME or DELAY START to clear each Fault code(s). I hope this helps!

Whirlpool 2015 stove/oven with the following error code f8e0 "cooling fan speed too low".What does this mean and what part would i need?
thank you
sheryl
For model number YWEE730H0DS0
Hi Sheryl,
Thank you for your question. If you are getting the F8 E0 error code, the cooling fan speed is too low either because the fan is spinning too slowly or there is a problem with the hall effect sensor. You will need to run a diagnostic on the oven. Please follow these steps: 1. Unplug range or disconnect power. 2. Pull the range forward and remove the top access cover. 3. Verify if there is anything keeping the blower from turning. If there is something keeping it from turning, remove it and go to Step 6. If there is nothing keeping it from turning, go to Step 4. 4. Disconnect the control board connector P5 and check the fan motor for 105O resistance between P5-1 and P6-3. If you do not get the correct reading, replace motor and go to Step 6. If motor is fine, go to Step 5. 5. Check the Hall Sensor by removing the control board P7 connector and testing for 5 VDC between P7-7 and P7-1. If test is fine, go to Step 6. If test results are not correct, replace the Hall Sensor. 6. Replace all parts and panels before operating. 7. Restore power to the oven. 8. Start a cook cycle and check to see if the oven is working correctly. 9. Enter the diagnostic mode to view the “Faults” screen and press START TIME or DELAY START to clear each Fault code(s). We hope this helps! If you have any questions, please let us know.

Can this part keep oven and broiler from working
For model number ksgg700esso
Hi Bill,
Thank you for your question. If the oven is not heating correctly, then the issue is likely with the oven sensor, sometimes called the oven thermostat, and you will need to check it with a multimeter. When testing the sensor with a multimeter, the sensor should be tested at room temperature and it should be unplugged from the oven. You will need to measure the resistance between the two prongs at the end of the sensor connector. Replace the oven sensor if the reading is less than 900 Ohms or more than 1200 Ohms. If this part checks out okay, you will need to check the electronic control board, the elements and the igniter. I hope this helps. Thank you and have a great day!

My range oven will not come on. The digital readout says "call service cooling fan speed too low" What do I need to fix the trouble?
For model number YWEE730HODSO
Hi Ted, thank you for the question. To fix the issue, you may need to replace the range cooling fan, part number PS12347171. There is a hall sensor built into the cooling fan motor that can tell when the fan is too slow. If the sensor or the fan is faulty, the whole assembly needs to be replaced. We hope this helps, good luck with this repair!

Turn oven on and get an error while preheating: Upper fan running slow. I clear the preheat and restart and it works. Could this be just the sensor or the whole fan itself?
For model number YKSEG700ESS1
Hello Katelyn, Thank you for your inquiry. We would recommend checking both the sensor and the fan with a multimeter for continuity. If you are unfamiliar with how a multimeter functions, we have videos available to assist you. Good luck with your repair.

With power on and in bake mode we get a lot of noise like a fan, but the fan is not running. I have back off and can verify that the fan is stopped (I can turn it by poking the blades) the noise continues. Oven is heating by connecting the fan to an outlet it runs quiet. This is with the range cbs off.
For model number KESS907SBL02
Hello Ted, Thank you for the question. This sounds like the Fan Motor is defective and should be replaced. Hope this helps!
